  1. Not sure if the soul scarf thingy is really THAT busted – it allows people who are very bad to have a shot on max difficulty and such. To the ones that are good is a slight waste of resources – 30~40 souls, in the case of this run, which could've been used to buy bombs or keys for instance. But I guess it's a comforting cushion then, more room for error allowing for a less tense run, so it balances itself out?

I mean, it looks crazy overkill when you do it, but I probably wouldn't be able to clear at max cinder even forcing an infinite soul hearts refill build on top of full meta unlocks lol

  2. My favorite busted combo was the clown suit plus some shoes that activated damage effects on dash (might've ha a trait that helped the combo too, can't recall). It create an "interesting" effect that triggered the effect endlessly on affected enemies, including bosses. Instant win combo.

  3. Soul Scarf seems overtuned but i think you might get more mileage from your souls if you buy extra stamina instead of soul hearts. You're guaranteed 90 souls across a run, just enough for +3 stamina, and 5 dashes sounds like it would get you out of so many pickles.

  4. btw sickles do way more damage than you would expect. They are one of the best weapon type because of how many times they hit enemies every shot.
Soul scarf also getting nerfed next patch, most broken item in the game, to the point that I avoid it since it is an easy win.

  5. My problem with using the soul scarf every time is that its encouraging you to use and play a similar style instead of using the souls to purchase hp ups, mana ups, dash ups, or items from the law (and prob other shops once unlocked). Proc on dash effects will never really be good when you spend all your souls on temp hearts instead of the chance of dashes, and most magic draining weapons are reduced in effectiveness if you spend all the souls currency immediately instead of saving up for an upgrade you might want later. It also means starting with the same starting boon instead of any of the others (refilling armor repair was cool, and the others might be too)

After all, other than saving 1 item slot, theres no cost to just filling up on soul hearts later in the run. (assuming you werent almost dead to start with)

  6. You can sit behind golem when he do the wave attack, it can't hit you there. 🙂

Ebb and flow (less room on early floor and more room on high floor) is.better than you think. Since late game give you better stuff, more room late mean more chance right?

  7. This character from the get-go immediately brought to mind something I've been thinking about for genuine years – a character where you cannot attack. I've always been fascinated by the concept of a character in a bullet-hell roguelike like this where you cannot attack, but you have some kind of room-wide poison that will kill enemies after [x] time, meaning you genuinely just walk into rooms and dodge until the room is done, as the ultimate "just dodge 4head" concept. This character kind of evoked that which is a super interesting angle

  8. By the way, aura hit rate is considered as Periodical, and it's really good for this type of build. One of Esper trait also converts Periodical rate into aura infliction damage so you will do a lot of damage with them.

  9. Love the series. Making me want to get the game myself. Don't really care about the spirit heart thing. It'll get nerfed probably anyway, and if not you'll likely get bored of it and want to use something else lol.

  10. When I saw Monk i was thinking he is the class to get that No wepon run. But now I see that esper even dont start with wepon. Also i think the triger on hit is boots and they do it on dash so you wouldn't want clown shoes for set

  11. So you know, there's a way to make it into Heaven 2 without having to fail. There's a Soul Shop in Heaven 1, each purchase grants +1 good. So, if you save up your souls, you CAN enter heaven 2 on your first attempt

That's what I did with Hell.

  12. I did a run with the esper. I just kept getting things that made your companions do damage (mostly the frog plague scroll) and my teddy bear ended up killing the Heaven boss, while I just ran around avoiding shots. Pretty cool hero

  13. Play however you like with the scarf. Hope the scarf gets patched tho so that we can see some runs with other starting accessories. Maybe the patch could only allow one free attunement per bonfire and/or only allow one use of soul scarf per room.

  14. If you use the nurse, she will also refill your flasks for 10G (5G if you have the meta upgrade) and this will save you a lot of souls as well as potentially unlock some gamebreaking combos

  15. I think it's better to not limit perks to a single character. More perks are always nice, but they should be available to everyone so that there's more possible combinations.

  16. 17:36 OK, Reto intends to break the game by being able to somehow wear two Helmets (Greeds Crown and Flower Pot)! 😍

27:35 Reto, the game is in Version 0.2.1.
That dev still seems to want to put alot in it so your suggestion might become a reality later on as they seem to watch your Tiny Rogue content!

30:25 The Silver Serpent Ring seems nuts with the Bonfire stuff.
