Hi Matt, I watch your videos a lot and just a small thing that is a bit unappealing to listen to repeatedly is how you say the gear scores lol. Instead of 'one thousand three hundred and eighty five' this and that, why not just say 'thirteen 85' or 'fourteen hundred.' Obviously, not a big deal and I wouldn't want you changing the way you speak for the sake of me alone. Just a little thing that struck my mind while watching your vids. Keep it up!
Completly wrong, look into +17 upgrading. There are several way cheaper upgrade paths like 17-17-17-8-8-11 or 17-17-13-12-12-11 or 13-12-12-12-11 or 16-11-11-11-11-10

should i use the books that increase chance in t3 from 1355-1370?
I do agree on the luck during certain time in the day. I have been having a lot of success doing the honing between 7-9PM EST for some reason…
I already blew all the mats 15 Minutes in to the Weekly reset. Even with max honing mats etc it took me max tries (100%) to go from weapon 11 -> 12 (ilvl 1352). Same with the chest piece, so here I am not giving a shit anymore 🙂

I started off honing 3 pieces of 1370 armor with 12 solar graces, 3 80% fails, I wish you all better luck than me.

Failed fully juiced 60%+ honing 3 times in a row really throw a wrench at my plan to get to 1385
There are no tricks. They use an RNG function that may be seeded by system clock but that doesn't mean that the system clock is what you use to determine your luck.
Less than 1% of your viewers are 1370 sir.
Greater Honor Leapstones are currently 210g on my server like wtf
Ive gotten super lucky twice. Went from something like the 1080's to 1100 in one day by going 6 for 6 on all my 14-15 attempts. Thought it was going to take me 1-2 weeks to get to t3.
Then yesterday I went from 1330-1347.. so many 40% or less successes. Have also had some demoralizing fail stretches

What about honing past 15? They start giving triple++ value for each hone. I've heard people say you should get 3 pieces to 17 in order to get 1400 in a more economic way.

+17 gloves +17 helmet +17 Shoulders +11 weapon and + 8 chest +8 legs

I think you might be right. I just signed on today and was 1365. Two days ago I failed 7 times and gave up for the day. I signed on today and 1 timed my sword and all gear to 1370 without 1 fail with a 20% honing chance
