Over the past few months I’ve been getting really into Dungeons and Dragons. I always knew I would like D&D, but I didn’t quite think I’d get as obsessed with it as I have. I’ve been reading as much D&D material as I can get my hands on, and that includes the 5e Monster Manual. After reading it and learning about all the cool creatures, I wanted a way to share them all with you guys, but I thought just writing my own summaries would be kinda boring. So instead, I met up with my old buddy Kathy (Chatty Kathy, ChatGPT), and I asked her to write some monster entries in my stead. She actually did pretty well (other than repeating the same words over and over), and I’m excited to share it with you all!

  3. This is very unfortunate, using Ai for D&D is a very bad thing for the community. I'm sure you meant no harm but in the case of Ai, an inch can be a mile. To put more Ai content in to hobby spaces is always a bad thing 🙁

  5. I'm 100% sure you are unaware of the controversy about AI in DnD,
    Take this as a word of warning, go and look it up for yourself.
    There's no doubt in my mind others in this comment section will elaborate, and if not, start searching through for the facts on your own.
    I don't know enough about it myself to help you.

  6. As a long time DND DM and player this video isnt meant to be some comentary; its just for fun and in no way ment to slight anyone. Thats obvious to see, its just for fun. You know like most things we do in our free time, please dont put hate into Dumpy's comments because he wnated to make a fun video. If you don't like this type of content dont throw hate, just move on with your life. Having said all this, great fun video to listen to in the background while playing minecraft.

  9. Love your videos but this is just not it Mr. DK. As a fellow DM i consider AI to be the bane of what being a DM should be. Specifically the lore of DnD is made by incredibly passionate people and using AI trained on that data is disrespectful towards their effort.

  10. All the people whinging about AI in the comments need to take a break from the internet lmao. Yes, i agree it's bad usually but the entire point of thie video is to point and laugh, and none of this is seriously going to affect actual DND. Chill out people.

  13. Love the video idea, its a fun use of AI. I get what everyones saying about d&d and AI, but DK clearly isn't the problem here take that energy and aim it at Wizards, not an independent creator

  14. I am shocked by the immediate backlash in the comments here, like seriously, this is a fun "little" video on a decade old book where AI is used for nonsense. It's not meant to replace anyone or anything, its pure entertainment (which it most definitely was entertaining). I think people need to stop fear mongering over technology and just appreciate the fun things, AI is simply a tool (that can be used for nefarious purposes), but it's not evil. Great formidable vid Dumpy 🙂
