Chasing A Wild Cow Miles Through The Mountains!

-Welcome to the Sleep Ranch! We are located in the Northern Black Hills on the South Dakota/ Wyoming border where our ancestors settled and started ranching in 1883.

I (Carson) work alongside my parents, Jeff and Jodi, our ranch hand, Jaques, my wife, Damaris who also works as a nurse in town, and our son Silas! We have friends and family who come along very frequently as well!

We run a cow/calf operation where we summer our cattle on the Black Hills National Forest and winter them in the foothills of the Black Hills. We also have a backgrounding feedlot, and grow alfalfa and grass hay.

  1. The video is much more scenic than the long ride felt I bet. Glad to see you guys dedicate so much work to save a cow and calves from freezing over winter. You know she is healthy and good stock after that long of a run, hopefully she can tame down and not run so much now. Thank you for taking the time from your day to video this for us to watch. I hope you all stay safe and healthy.
