-Welcome to the Sleep Ranch! We are located in the Northern Black Hills on the South Dakota/ Wyoming border where our ancestors settled and started ranching in 1883.
I (Carson) work alongside my parents, Jeff and Jodi, our ranch hand, Jaques, my wife, Damaris who also works as a nurse in town, and our son Silas! We have friends and family who come along very frequently as well!
We run a cow/calf operation where we summer our cattle on the Black Hills National Forest and winter them in the foothills of the Black Hills. We also have a backgrounding feedlot, and grow alfalfa and grass hay.
To God be the Glory

Glad you caught them in a situation where one cow never complies do you send him to processers
That is a ornery cow.
I bet the rats & mice are loving life living off those protien pellets.
Someone needs a cake feeder for Christmas 🎄
Aren't you on Trump? Is using only 1 eye? 😢
That was one onry cow. Great video. God Bless
So, she's probably going to the sell barn? 😂
What a day, glad you were successful. Good to see you on Trump again.
You and your dad have some good horses they seem like they don’t mind the brush . Good video some days are tuff running cows .
Good job guys.
I'm guessing that one goes to auction.
Trump is unbelievable. The terrain you put him through. Wow! Great cow horse!
What a long day that was. Sounds like it's time to sell her. Glad you caught her and the calves though.
guess you should get a feeder for the back of the pick-up so you can drive and feed at the same time!
Glad you finally got her. Beautiful country.👍❤️🇨🇦
Sounds like a good one to sell.
Boy you guys are some patient. That cow would have been halted by a bullet by mile three. Please tell me she’s headed for beef soon.
Thank you for taking us on a nice ride in the mountains. For us flat land farmers it is enjoyable. 😊
Good luck finding your cow
Great video Carson and Jeff
WOW now that was a chase … Cow did not want to be caught
There is always one trouble maker. I love the scenery.
You are so fortunate to be able to work with your parents.
Winter is knocking at your door.
Thanks
Wow! Can’t be imagining how many miles you dad has ridden chasing cows all the years.
Glad you guys were finally able to catch them. Do you put different shoes on the horses for winter?
The video is much more scenic than the long ride felt I bet. Glad to see you guys dedicate so much work to save a cow and calves from freezing over winter. You know she is healthy and good stock after that long of a run, hopefully she can tame down and not run so much now. Thank you for taking the time from your day to video this for us to watch. I hope you all stay safe and healthy.
Young man have you heard of a cow trap? Anchor brand ranch uses them in Nevada. They use hay as bait!
That is positively the most COWBOY THING I'VE EVER SEEN!! You got em!! Try doing that on a four wheeler??
Love seeing your videos and your "DAD" is so humble he gets the point across without raising his voice!!!!!
Good to see Trump out with you. Hope he’s doing better.
If she was mine I think she would have been steaks! 🥩
I wish i could get those larger alphalfa pellets here in the east for our horses.
How do you protect the horses eyes
