Lyrics
The Exorcism
You were here at seven
Banging my head against the wall
To the rhythm of some old hymn
That I still recall
When I was eleven
you told me I’m like the silver moon
As I ran on empty not a day to soon
Your tone changed after
To hunger strikes and hurricanes
Scarlet summers, growing pains
I’d follow you all the same
Oh I kissed you sickly
Smoking out sadness in your room
T’ was the first time ever I thought
Of expelling you
Now I’m gonna stay up I’m gonna stay afloat
With or without you
Stay away, be gone
You wandered briefly
Left me crying tears of joy
And for a minute
I knew peace
It was beautiful
and so boring
I know I’ll exorcize you
Twice each decade from now on
And though I might sedate you
You will never be gone
Oh, you’ll never be gone
You’ll never be, never be
I’m gonna stay up I’m gonna stay afloat
With or without you, with or without you now
Stay Away Be Gone

magnifique performance charlotte ! ton talent et ta beauté!❤❤❤
The Bends Ⓜetal Sickness, 813th day no man's happy motherland lady evil blood red moonpool infinity of mass death madness.🔴
Она прекрасна!
this track lacks energy
I love how progressive this is
This reminded me so much of Soft Revolution, not in sound but in how brooding, stirring and intense the song is. Add to that the impeccable filmography with brilliant moments such as that shot at 4:18 and wow, what a piece of art. Highly looking forward to the album ❤
I like your creativity and it makes your music sound authentic to me. Nice song!
Like it!
I like it.
Omg I love it ❤❤❤
МОЩНО,МОЛОДЦЫ!!!
Amazing song Charlotte… I got chills down my spine 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🔥🔥🔥
So creative both the song and video , love it so much
This sounds way more healthier than your initial solo albums. Thank you for bringing back the steel! It would also be nice to see you dispose of that septum piercing, it honestly doesn't do you any justice whatsoever. 😉
This is such an interesting creativity. it's a beautiful, surprising & modern track
I'm not sure how to explain it, but her voice has changed. It sounds much richer, with more texture and depth. Maybe she’s finally free (?). I can't wait to hear what Charlotte has in store for us! Love this song 🖤
How kind of Lionsgate to lend the Saw bathroom to Charlotte for her new video 🙂
Holy motherf*** sh**. I'm a big fan of Charlotte since the early days of Delain and so I was eager on her new project. But I never expected something like this! It blew me abolutely away. Can't wairt for more now.
That's a masterpiece
You'll need several listenings to fully get your head round this dense sophisticated Prog/Symphonic fusion number. What I definitely DIDN'T like was the level – a pathetic 0.5dB peak – absolutely no excuse when everyone else is uploading vids at optimum level. I hope to see an audio only upload of better quality! That said, it gets away with it to some extent because the quality of production is of the high standard you'd expect of a Prog/Symphonic track.
The song itself is a winner – I loved being taken through the different moods of contemplation, lament, rage and madness. This makes it a great relatable listening experience. The only thing is it's so sophisticated I couldn't see it working live, and these days that's where you make money. Fortunately that's the artist's problem not the punter's. This is a must for the playlist.
My Score: Very Good 4*
