Wow. Great story. She is an amazing person. Got to read her biography and watch the series. Thank you so much.
Itโs sad that we are just now learning of these remarkable women. Delivered 17 million pieces of mail in 90 days. Unreal. They came up with ingenious ways of figuring out where many of these mails were supposed to go even when the mail was damaged. Soldiers were not getting their mail and neither was their families. I watched the movie. Well done and about time they got their recognition. This woman when told that they were disbanding them because they were not getting anything done and at the time Major Adams told the general โover my dead bodyโ. She retired as a Lt Col
Also to add I was in basic training in 2001 prior to 9/11 and you would be amazed what pieces of mail from home would do to lift someoneโs spirits. Imagine being in WW2 where computers and FB and e-mail didnโt exist so when they finally got their mail it was a really big deal. Sad it took this long for them to get recognized because they were black and female. Iโm gobsmacked that under 900 woman got 17 million pieces of mail delivered in under 90 days. There job was just as important as the other jobs in the military whether itโs medical, infantry, paratroopers or postal workers in the military. Mail from home was everything and I still have all of my mail from family and friends.
Normally Netflix film are avrage but this one was top class an exlent perfomance by all grate story bit like the nasa film hidden number about ladey who where so fare ahead of time race has no place it people who have outstanding ability who make a difference in our world
Legend
I salute and applaud you Charity Adams! Thank you for a job well done. Thank you ladies of Six Triple Eight. I'm so glad this story was brought to light. Thank you Tyler Perry and Kerry Washington. These phenomenal women and you both made us proud!
As a former Army lieutenant, LT COL Charity Adams and her dedicated Black female troops make me so PROUD of their accomplishments. They are truly REMARKABLY AMAZING Black women.
It goes without saying that lazy assed white women WACKOS should have done their jobs, but as ALWAYS, their white privilege allowed them to sit on their lazy asses. This is an example of Amerikkkan INCOMPETENCE, CRUELTY, and a lack of CARING for its own soldiers.
Black women and men in both the military and corporate Amerikkka ALWAYS have to pick up the slack for lazy-assed white men and women! The term "Amerikkkan Work Ethic" is an oxymoron and a myth! There is no such thing among lazy white Amerikkkans or Europeans. As proof, they sailed thousands of miles to kidnap Africans, packed like sardines in Jewish-owned slave ships, financed by the Jewish Rothschild bankers, to work, chop and pick cotton, build mansions and the White House for lazy-assed white folkkks.
What these hardworking Black women achieved was PHENOMENAL. After what Lieutenant Colonel Charity Adams and other Black women achieved academically and militarily over 80 years ago, it is truly heartwarming, inspirational, and phenomenal.
Only a Southern HollyWeird suck-up like Tyler Perry and a sexist midget like Spike Lee could totally mess up this movie! Instead of Tyler focusing on Major Charity Adams and her troops' remarkable success, he twisted up the movie into a sickening liberal HollyWeird interracial, jungle-fevered lust story.
This 9:27 clip is BETTER than Tyler Perry's 2-hour plus movie, replete with bad acting, except for Kerry Washington as Charity Adams.
This was a great video to see after I just watched the new movie on Netflix called The Six triple eight. Starring Kerry Washington playing Major Charity Adams – real photography in your video- great job!
Well done.
I was blown away by the Netflix movie, its story, its characters, the challenges they confronted, the treatment they received, and the excellence in which the actors brought it to life. Thank you for your service 6888th๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ
If anyone ever has the opportunity to visit the woman's museum at Fort Gregg-Adams, I suggest you take the opportunity. It tells the story of the 6 triple 8 and is amazing. It has back stories of many of the units members. And many amazing artifacts like the actual mail bags. The mail sorting desks and even some of the actual uniforms worn by the women.
oy vey they saved the West
Thank you for your service!!!๐๐พ๐๐๐พ๐๐พ๐ช๐พโ๐พโ๐พ๐๐พ
The 6888 were all black, not predominantly black.
Salute and congratulations ๐พ
As a U. S. Marine veteran, getting mail while being deployed is was very important. These black women performed a crucial role in the U.S. military.
A couple of years ago I learned about this unit because CBS did a piece about one of the Hispanic women who served in the 6888.
Watched the netflix movie, and yet again Iโm amazed. Salute to the black women & few hispanics that helped out especially Charity Adamโs!!๐ซก
I watched this movie with my 80 year old mother. She had never heard of these ladies. This movie was everything we thought it would be. โค

My bad there was a long delay ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐ซถ๐พ
I saw the movie and could easy point out more than a few mistakes as far as military protocol. It was very good. I liked it.
When you're an upset FEMINIST on how black women were not sent to combat to potentially die ๐คฆ๐ป but you still have to make a movie about the injustice. (and the courage it takes to sort mail) ๐ฅฒ
