CHARGE of THE LIGHT BRIGADE by Alfred, Lord Tennyson

This brilliant poem by the Poet Laureate of Great Britain commemorates the sacrificial bravery of the Light Brigade division of the British cavalry in the 1854 Battle of Balaclava during the Crimean war. This narrative production is not intended to glorify war, but rather to showcase the lyric beauty of Tennyson’s poem. The music and sounds you hear were actually scored by Ludwig van Beethoven in his epic “Wellington’s Victory” battle symphony. The piece is concluded with a brief passage from the Marcia Funebre movement of Beethoven’s third symphony. I hope you enjoy this video, and that you might grace my efforts with a “Like”. Thank you!
