This War Machine created video game is a real hoot! By a fan, for the fan in all of us! I, for one got really excited when I learned that it existed. Will you be as excited as I? Will we be excited together? We’re together in this but apart because we don’t know each other but that’s why you’re here!

Let’s get crackin’ with a whip for smackin’…Smackin’ Smuckers jam is delicious on toast or even a bagel perhaps!

If you can use the internet you can find this wonderful game with the click of a mouse and a few keyboard inputs. What an awesome world we live in!

  1. Interesting take on remaking a sequel. Would you say the linear road blocks puts the game inline with the gameplay of the original?

It would be interesting if someone gave Super Mario Bros 2 this treatment. I would love to see it have similar gameplay and aesthetic to the original. The developers must have been in an experimental phase because who knows what they were thinking choosing an arabic setting and letting the cast throw turnips all willy nilly.

  2. I'm @6:04 writing this and I think I'm with you. Simon's Quest was the 2nd NES game I was given as a kid, and there's something missing from the freedom & charm of that version, in this one. Which is all the more impressive when considering the restrictions of technology at the time.
Simon's quest is often lambasted and that sucks. Yes, it's a flawed game, but Simon's Quest succeeded at being it's own thing; exploratory rather than a copy-paste derivative of the original. Warts & all, I love it.
