  1. Thank you, ladies, for a great show. Thank you for asking the question about Lucas and Elizabeth, that many fans are asking them. I guess what they want to say is not necessarily what we see. Let's see what comes next, and we might understand a little better what is happening now. Another great episode!

  2. to me it shouw a disconnect of the writers from the fans. it wasn;t clear what they meant to say about the E&L scene…..I didn't enjoy the episode. The best part of it was the Henry Gowen scenes.

  3. Interesting interview and parts confusing. What he said about L&E is not what is projected on the screen….and with Mei 1 time in the pharmacy mostly in cafe or salon best part was Henry……I don't think this was one of their best episodes…….

  5. I love Neill's work all the garage sale mysteries were exceptional that being said what he was trying to project through his direction wasn't supporting in the dialogue written for Lucas and Elizabeth scenes-Nathan and Allie's sudden campout not sure we were given a reason for the father/daughter communication problem, somehow the writers were totally disconnected for some of episode 5 but I will put my faith in the rest of the season will be #WCTH that we all love I appreciate you ladies asking our questions and giving us varried view points from all the melting pot of Hope Valley

  6. I don't think it's that we aren't patient and require closure for everything. We require context. Well developed characters have arcs that are easy to follow. So that even if the outcome is not given away, the audience isn't being completely left in the dark about how the character is feeling and why. Ex: Elizabeth had no journaling this episode. Being reassured about her thinking isn't giving too much away IMO.

  7. Another great interview. Neill Fearnley is wonderful! He shared so many of his wonderful techniques and smoothed over some of the angst that was imagined in episode 5. I have enjoyed this interview immensely.

  8. You can sure tell your bias towards Lucas and Elizabeth stories. There was a small mention of Nathan and Joseph and their girl's camping trip, but there was no mention of the 2 conversations that Elizabeth and Nathan had. One of which was beautifully shot (the muffin one) with the sun lower in the sky. You would think when interviewing the director that it would have been talked about. I must say, I was a bit disappointed with this interview.

  9. I agree about the date being like Jack. I thought that too. I made a comment on another channel. I find this channel is very positive. I would like to see Elizabeth and little Jack talk more about Jack and involve her faith more. She should do that also for Lucas. I miss when they involved more comments about faith and prayer. It was the main reason that drew me to the series is the faith aspect.

  10. At 16:42, he talks about Lucas coming into the family that Elizabeth has created for herself. I agree that he is. But it seems like right now that Lucas is doing all the compromising & giving in to what Elizabeth wants. Elizabeth doesn't seem to be compromising or giving at all right now. I read something today that gave me a tremendous amount of hope that they work through their troubles, but I would agree on Elizabeth being a little selfish right now. Why should Lucas be the only one compromising?
