Can Baker Mayfield carve up the Cleveland Browns or will Myles Garrett ruin his revenge game?

Baker spent four seasons practicing day in and day out against the Cleveland Browns’ defense. Does that familiarity give Baker Mayfield the edge in the week one matchup?

Browns’ safety John Johnson III stated that he believes the Browns’ defense has the advantage. Johnson said it’s just one of him and eleven of them. It will be vital for Joe Woods to get the defense off to a great start, make Baker uncomfortable and give the Browns a solid chance of coming out with a rare week one win.

  1. This is crazy they have hyped this whole thing up this revenge game thing. the only persons that it really matters to more than anybody else is the Baker fans. I do not see how their offense can contend with our defense but, I'm sure Denzel Ward is licking his chops lol

  2. We keep talking about Baker's weaknesses (plural). The ONLY weakness Mayfield has is that he likes to roll out of the pocket. But I think it's a bit of a stretch to say he HAS to roll out of the pocket. I watched him play during the preseason. He generally stayed in the pocket. Maybe that's something he's working on. We all know how smart he is. If we know he likes to roll out, he knows (and his coaches know) that everyone knows it. I don't think he'll play right into the Browns obvious defensive game plan.

  3. Baker thinks he's Tom Brady. That'll be most of his problem, his attitude which affects his ability to see reality and improve his game. He's a legend in his own mind. Now he goes from a great offense to a terrible one, outside of the skill positions. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out.

  4. Baker has no chance Sunday if the Browns craft a game plan like GB did on Christmas and they execute it. Injuries or not, his mechanics were destroyed by the scheme and execution of the GB front 7.

  5. If our starting Defenivse Tackles are true complements to Garett and Clowney, meaning they can eat up offensive line blocks and shut down or greatly slow down the Panther's running attack and can pass rush on 3rd and long from the D. Tackle position! It's going to be an awful Long Day for Baker Mayfield.

  6. Familiarity, shit these guys been waiting for this. There isn't a defensive starter that hasn't dreamed of playing against their offense in a real game and proving themself. We're all wrong about sports some but mark my words, Baker gets boned. Hide and watch………

  7. The Panthers are done! Deshaun Watson is gonna….oh, wait. All this talk about the Panthers QB yet not a mention of your own. Yall sound like Bakers ex girlfriends having a pow wow….just sad.

  8. it makes no sense to say there's 11 guys on D to 1 guy Baker. So the D doesn't have to worry about CMC, Moore, Higgins just concentrate on Baker. They'll do that toward their own demise.
