It is funny how California is running out of water and want to suck a little from the Mississippi at the same time they brag about the biggest dam removal project in history.
Does the green spot on the Orville Dam indicate a possible water leak?
I grew up in CA. Lake Shasta and Oroville were always full. Just a few years ago Oroville was bursting at its seam with water. Now it’s empty. What the hell did you ppl do???
Maybe the brain surgeon California voters should approve another $7.5 billion debt Proposition to solve the drought as they did in 2014…then less than 2 years later the Oroville dam was breaking as well as other reservoir's being full. While they are at check to see where that $7.5 Billion debt was spent. Then whine about a drought condition.
God hates commies confirmed
Please talk about California next new reservoir if any ?
17:34 you know you could have won one at the air races instead of borrowing it.
I grew up with a 22' Catalina. I enjoyed the flight around, I know all those places. I lived 16 yrs in Gold Run and 10 in GV as a service electrician for Gray Electric by the airport. I love to fly, I just don't like to land (skydiver). 🙃
don't worry gavin gruesome has it under control like taxes, gas prices, homeless, illegals,, communist eviomental actions telling you what you can buy and banning products, and commerce from other states….. yay democrats
California has a politician problem not a drought problem!!!
my brother was fighting that fire..
You guys need more CL-415's!😉
Thanks for the update Juan. Sky King!
Hate to tell you but same thing happened last year. Heavy December and Early January storms then flat out disappearing precipitations.
Juan. I’d love for you to talk in detail about proper Forest management. I Interpret that as a return to commercial logging operations along with letting certain areas burn. What do you mean?
I visit So Cal twice a year and have been for the last 20 years since I moved to the east coast and can recall some crazy storms in October and November but not in the just few years. The last trip I took to Northern California was in November of 1998 (San Francisco, Sacramento (Rancho Cordova) and Lake Tahoe, was there for 2 weeks it rained the whole time in was there was 6ft of snow on the ground in Tahoe I remember specifically storm after storm came in off the Pacific each with high winds and heavy precipitation that's what you guys need now it just boggles my mind that it's been so dry in Northern California the past several years.
Piper cub or Super Cruiser??
People stating that lots and lots of rain are needed to fill Oroville is pretty vague. If it could happen in one event, how many inches of rain would be needed over the entire watershed area to equal the amount of water needed to bring the reservoir to full capacity from where it is now?
Very interesting presentation from always raining Philadelphia…
Hey Juan,
I come to you for the low-down.
Thanks
Only in Calif. would U give away free firewood- $200 a cord in the mountains !!!
I was confused about your explanation of providing water to rice farmers and then somehow the water came back into the system. It may be interesting to show how the whole Oroville Thermalito water and power complex works.
As someone who has moved here (Irvine) from NJ twenty years ago leaving due to the weather there. Having been evacuated numerous times due to wildfires I have come to appreciate the rain. Thanks
As my entire family is rooted in the El Dorado county area, I can tell you that the " Ant farms " in the trees are from this ant type farming a mold in the trees. I lost 2 iron oaks and one Monterey pine to them last year with the biggest and oldest tree being over 200 years old. Fact that these Oaks in my direct vicinity were used by the Indians here for more than 200 years, grinding their acorns in the granite boulders right across the street from this property. This is the first " ant " invasion I have seen here of this type. The bark beetle was thought to be the problem till they were cut down. I have taken measures to control them from getting to any of the other trees here,
And thanks for saving the Morning Mist..I love ships, be it maritime, air, trucks, machinery or rail. They’re all beautiful and we owe them gratitude for doing the heavy lifting along with providing pleasure. We’d be in the stone age without them. I really enjoy your videos.
This is a man made drought mostly started by non-native plants and overpopulation. Humans get all up in arms till you tell them the answer is to not have kids and be respectful of their environment.
I don't know much about this area but it seems there is an opportunity to log those areas with the dead trees. Is that possible to do? Those areas seem likely to be the next fires and would give any fire a crazy head start. Culling out those dead trees seems the next logical step, or is this part of the "forest management" you were speaking of?
We got a good dumping in the Santa Cruz Mountains!
It's not a Drought. It's a Desert. And we are trying to pretend it's farmland.

That's what you need. Ground water. This should help. Or. Get a rain water cistern and filter and treat the water with UVC sanitation lighting. 🍀.
I've noticed while hiking thru some past burn areas that in the regrowth patches the new trees are very close together. As the trees grow , does nature take care of thinning the forest ? Theoretically , the trees will not grow at the same rate and the faster trees will block the sun from the slower trees and taking more nutrients from soil therefore killing them . They are so close , there is no way they could all grow to maturity .
The fact that California is anti dam is the reason they have droughts. I don’t like dams either but you can’t allow all the rainwater and snowmelt to drain out to sea before using it. There’s still a 3 foot puddle outside of my residence. How is that a drought?
I think they’re purposefully draining dams and allowing the water to drain to sea to manufacture a crisis and further their climate change agenda. California wants everyone in electric cars. Part of it
Really enjoy your videos. In regard to your logs, I recommend finding someone with a Lucas mill to come in, or you buying a mini Lucas, it won’t disappoint, coming from someone who started out with an Alaskan mill😊
It becomes biblical.
Jesus Christ is coming again very soon to rapture his church. Then the Antichrist comes onto the world stage with his illusion of peace and with him hell on earth. Unfortunately, too many people will fall for it.
Read Revelation and the Gospel of John.
Jesus Christ is God. Turn back to him. Ask forgiveness of your sins. Believe in the gospel.
Religions do not come from God.
In Jesus Christ alone we have salvation and salvation.
God's blessings and protection and peace in the name of Jesus Christ
Your 100 year history map says it all. We cant managed the forest. Nature is managing us. Some of us dont seem to get the message. Obviously clear cutting and tree farms arent sustainable.
They just need to build a pipeline from northern west they get plenty of rain up there, and pipe down here. Problem solved, but they don't want to solve the problem.
it’s really sad that probably the most beautiful state in the country has been totally ruined by 40 years of Democrat policies. The cities are gone, however there are some strongholds of sane people like yourself still around but I don’t have that much hope for California.
Near the beginning you said that a certain valley would be uninhabitable due to yearly flooding so no one should live there then. America's and the world's biggest problems are caused by over-population which overtaxes the natural resources. Our ancestors were so naive about ecological systems, pollution and living within Nature's boundaries they thought that humans could live anywhere by taming nature. Religious leaders also taught them to keep adding as many humans as possible because we are above nature in importance so should control it. This arrogant, misguided and selfish thinking is leading us to the collapse of civilization because we cannot control nature for our desires. If land is uninhabitable then humans should not try to live there. We don't need more food production, we need to reduce the population so can live in harmony with nature. Building large Dams has been an environmental disaster worldwide ruining local ecosystems, changing all biological life of plants and animals and forcing us to change even more. Get rid of all large Dams and live where we can without out feeble attempts to control nature, because it's killing us and all the other innocent life on this once healthy planet.
