We finally find out it was the Umbrella Corporation whose creation of both the “T-virus” and “G-virus” are the causes of the zombie and mutant outbreak. William Birkin, who turns out to be the monster we have faced multiple times, is also the scientist responsible for creating the “G-virus”. When failing to double cross Umbrella and escape with his research, he is shot dead by their agents. In one final attempt to live, he injects himself with the “G-virus” causing him to mutate and take revenge on the agents. This event would be the catalyst for the entire outbreak of Raccoon City. With Sherry’s cure in hand, Claire will stop at nothing to save her. *******************************************************
