These hot springs are only an hour from Las Vegas but we wouldn’t push our luck with the brain-eating amoebas that call the warm water home. Did you know these amoebas live anywhere there is warm, fresh water? That means you should NEVER put your head under water at a hot spring, to avoid allowing the amoebas to enter your body. It’s super rare, but deadly if it happens. Yikes! Best way to relax at a hot spring is with your head ABOVE water!
