I think something's wrong with your timestamps, Odd. Last video too.
Chris' first instinct when meeting cute fluthy animals – kill them all! Or at least try to. I suspect the game devs realized this being most players instinct and made them invulnerable.
A suggestion, try and use the beasts like the mine droids. Lead them towards other enemies and let them fight. Looks like they hate droids as much as you do.
I see what they did there! The way they teach wall jumping is just the way you are taught in Super Metroid

I know this is late, but listening to the enemies talk can sometimes lead to funny dialogues from Cal
I'm a couple hours further in than this one and I didn't even know the seeds were a thing.
