  1. Thanks for watching everyone, this video was a lot of work to do but I hope you enjoyed it. Subscribe, share & let me know what you think. My next video will likely be a history lesson on something very special. So I hope you look forward to it.

  2. The levels of bloodborne are layers of the dream, the hunter's dream is the lower and deeper lay of the dream that's why is logical the need to return to it in order travel to other layers because is not a single dimension. In order to understand this try to think in Nolan's Inception. PS It is nice to hear a soundtrack from DS2.

  3. Bloodborne has some of the coolest weapon designs I’ve seen personally. My favorite fromsoft & I dearly pray for the day it receives a 60 fps patch! In RNGesus name 🙏🏽

  4. Correction: Laurence was the apprentice to Willem, and the founder of the church.

Ludwig was the first official Church Hunter after Lawrence founded the church.
(Gehrman was the first ever man who fit the classification of hunter, who served Byrgenwerth much before Laurence split from Willem. It was implied somewhere that Gehrman was the college gardener before they went on their "scientific crusade" in the fishing hamlet, which is why he uses a scythe. It is unknown whether or not ludwig was present for the excursion against the hamlet, but nothing would really change whether or not he was there. What Ludwig did that WAS important was that he was the primary leader of the people looting the pthumerian tombs, and then later the one crusading against Old Yharnamites during the burning.)

  5. I still prefer Dark Souls for its philosophical/symbolic storytelling (especially after a strong theory I came up with), but this game with its story, gameplay, and setting combined is likely the best in the series.

Also the explanation of the spiders, there's a big Eye theme in the game as that's the old way they got insight, lining the brain with Eyes. If you look closely at the spiders in Mensis see they only have 4 eyes? Spiders usually have 6-8, but only 2-4 are really functional and the rest have poor vision. They are collecting Spider's eyes to line their brains, which is why they're also giant so they can fit on the brain. See all the eyes in Mensis on the floors and walls with clock hands coming out of them? The same effect as the Brain monsters if they see you and start to cause insanity. The stabbed eyes even have spider legs sometimes, showing they were coming alive before they were rejected and impaled. Beings with multiple harvestable eyes are perfect to get insight.

We get it more efficiently with the skulls full of knowledge and just seeing the weirdness around. There's even a boss in Elden Ring that references the eye theme. A cracked open human skull with a giant eye instead of a brain within it that comes from the stars, with a body. It ties into my overall connective theory I mentioned earlier.

  6. Bloodborne is the best game I can never finish. I play it, I love it, I get real into the lore, and then I just move on to some other game for one reason or another. Sekiro will always be the best Fromsoft game to me, but Bloodborne is a close second – but I’m also just a huge fan of Sengoku era Japan and Japanese history in general, so that probably edges it up. Little things like the 7 Spears actually being a real thing, to wondering whether the Central Forces were Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s or Tokugawa Ieyasu’s just do it for me.

  7. Upgrading the graphics and the frames per second would ruin part of what makes this game good. It still looks great as it is, and that 30 frames is the perfect jank for this setting, makes it feel like your brain is having a hard time digesting everything around you and it's all just a little weirder

  8. Personally, I think the clothing being fashion made for a nice change from the stat-weighted gear of many of the other titles. I'm a sucker for 'the best stats available', so tend to end up wearing weird mashed up sets in most Souls games in order to squeeze maximum defence into a workable equip load, whereas Bloodborne allowed me to fully just enjoy the variety of options available purely from an aesthetic point of view.

There are some beautiful armours in Elden Ring that I've barely worn beyond just checking them out, because they just don't feel like a 'smart choice' due to stats and such, for example.

  9. Yo, why does your Bloodborne look soo fucking good?!?!

Ive been playing the game since launch 7 years ago, and the graphics arent as sharp and fluid as you have displayed in this video.

Has this footage been captured on the PS5?

  10. Bloodborne has a special place on my heart since it was my first souls game. I remember the first time I played, there were a lot of moments in the early maps that I almost gave up, a lot of bosses that I died at least 20 times, It was my entrance to a new world of games.

  11. I clicked because I agree. Even now I like Bloodborne better than Elden Ring. I almost have the Platinum

I agree with most of your points, but I LIKE that the armor sets are almost purely cosmetic. It means that your build and skill are the most important factors in your success.

I agree about the rest, like not being able to warp/reset a zone directly from a lanterns is frustrating, on PS4 my load times aren't really an issue though. I don't really understand that complaint.

  12. Excellent critique/review of truly one of the best gaming experiences of all time.

You are absolutely correct in Bloodborne being a masterpiece.

2015 was truly a peak year in gaming, atleast from my perspective. That year had so SOO many big AAA franchises titles being released (Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Arkham Knight, MGS5:Phantom Pain, AC:Syndicate, ect..) which made for some very steep competition within that consumer-gaming landscape at the time.

Soo for it to be as revered as it is, from then until now, in outshining all of its competition. Speaks volumes to its praise.

Even being compared to From Soft’s newest entry Elden Ring, says sometjing.

  13. Bloodborne imo is the best Soulsborne game, not just gameplay and atmosphere wise, but an excellent starting point if you want to get into the rest of the series.

I had tried multiple times to get into Souls game cuz I always heard how good they were, but the difficulty always threw me off. Bloodborne is the perfect teacher on how to play the other games. Being aggressive, but not greedy, and playing what I would call "neutral" instead of passive. (basically even when you're playing back a bit, you should always be ready to attack once you see an opening, rather than continuing to run. Even when your health is low, death is part of this series, it's how you learn. Once you stop seeing death in Souls as a failure, and instead as learning opportunity, you will truly conquer these games)

  14. I feel like there are two major lore differences between Bloodborne and Elden Ring –
    1) Elden Ring has a lot more lore which only exists in a visual form whereas all of Bloodborne can be understood in the text (imo, I like the Elden Ring version as it puts a lot less weight on the localization teams)
    2) Elden Ring lore required you to connect it to the world we live in. A lot of it only makes sense if you understand physics (multiplayer, sites of grace animations, the role of fire, the fell god's eye hurricanes, etc) or have read Berserk (particle death animation, Miquella, the central importance of 'sacrifice' etc).

  16. As my first souls game as someone who has played every soul's game afterbloodborne. It has to be one of the finest works of art produced by a videogame. It was a life-changing experience for me. It brought me up when I was in a dark time and made me think better of myself.

  17. Lol bb fanboys are feeling a little lonely and left out after ER released. Guess its no longer "king" like its fanbase deludes themselves into thinking, although that never was true. Ima go ahead and say what i found very lacking in this great, although insanely overhyped and overrated game.

Speaking as a person that started with ER first then played bb as my second souls game, i gotta say, i havent been disappointed in a game like bb in a long while. Its pretty much a huge downgrade from ER in everyway but music. Its trick weapons are a gimmick at best with most of its value coming from looking cool, ure still gonna spam r1 95% of the time, and i would say bb is the most mindless and least strategic of them all combat wise. The atmosphere was great for about 10 hours, then it just boiled down to different shades of grey for 40 hours, found that to be lazy, especially if you consider the environment variety potential with the dream concepts. Also lets not kid ourselves like most bb fanboys, its environment variety is a glaring issue. Same with its half assed rpg mechanics. Its not more "focused" like u guys tell yourselves, Its just objectively worse than the other games in those aspects, along with other aspects its worse at, like magic and AI. Bbs AI is almost as dumb as ds1s and thats an entire console gen between them. Thats just ass design right there. U can strafe kill most enemies and 90% of the enemies dont even have poise lol.

Its lore was great, then it got too edgy for its own good, the npcs didnt help with the edgyness too. Bb has the worst npcs between the games by far, that and the fact that the word blood is cringingly uttered everywhere, even in every single item discription. Souls, sekiro and especially ER are written far better than this unsubtle nonsense imo XD.

Also i gotta know why…The fanbase are delusionally hyping it to high heaven but u guys dont talk about its many glaring flaws, and you guys kinda have this weird need to always call it the best souls game everywhere u go, almost pretending to be objective in your opinion, just like this video + title. Watch abit of litteraly every critique video about the games and read the comments and ull see what i mean. Its only the bb fanbase with this cringey attitude. U dont see this childish attitude with the other games fanbases for some reason. Pretty much every fromsoft game after bb is substantially better than it, i still liked it more than ds1 though.

Ds3 is basically ds1+ bloodborne but with actual environment variety and combat strategy. Sekiro and elden ring are actually innovative spin offs with plenty of new aspects in them. Bb? Its litteraly just a grey reskin of dark souls with an extra L1 + R1 attack thats useless on most weapons anyway. I dont think theres a single new item in this game. They are all just reporpused dark souls assets. In ER, Theres like 50 new consumables and items that give effects thats never before seen in soulsborne XD Hopefully they improve bb far more in the sequel its never going to get…mostly cuz it sold like garbage its first 2 years and sony has been using it as "free" console purchase bait ever since 2016. Piss off sony, bring it to pc so then it can be modded to be as great as its fanbase say it is.

  19. There are probably many people not agreeing with you myself included. But.
Bloodborne is my second favourite and it's only cus of my personal preferences. I like ds3 more cus of the PvP which is superior to bloodborne. Can't say bloodborne doesn't deserve the 1st spot in the hearts of many
