Anders was probably talking about Velanna as well as Merrill at the Dalish camp, both of them being pretty off kilter in their own ways lol also pretty sure forbidden knowledge might bug out and not complete. Just your usual BioWare bug
Me sweating looking at Mapo delaying Fenris quest 😰
Personally, I always take Orana as a paid servant, I think it’s the best path for her
Bringing Anders and Fenris in the party is literally that Simpsons meme "Kids, could you lighten up a little?" lmao. Honestly I just love Fenris so much because he can be so stubborn and abrasive and prickly but he also realizes that and apologizes for it. And I mean he does have good reason to be that way but you can tell he genuinely wants to be different. That scene with the Arishok where he loses control of his stoic veneer is actually kind of terrifying… great voice acting there.
There were two different types of magic affecting the dream with Feynriel. He was being possessed by demons in his own body, so killing him in his own dream would sever him from the fade, making him tranquil. Hawke and Co were being sent into his dream with the keeper's magic, so them dying would mean they would wake back up since they weren't in their own dream/body.
For herbalist task i believe you ave to talk to the merchant i think and if you can convince him eh gives you the location…or a side quest take you there it has been awhile i get the acts mixed up at times.
Speaking of spirits which aren't demons: I believe you've encountered at least two more apart from Justice. The spirit of Valor in the mage opening in Dragon Age: Origins, and the spirit of Compassion which "possessed" Wynne and kept her alive.
Underground Railroad is a term I have know longer than I have played video-games. I had good history-teachers.
I still don't believe varric is protecting people in your party
AAPANE MUJHE MERI SAUTAN SE CHUTKARA DIL AAYA THANK YOU SO MUCH PANDIT JI⑦⓪⑥⑤⑥③⑦⑧⑦④
"I won't repeat myself", then doing exactly that
Btw, can't wait for you to do the quest for Sebastian, that is just hilarious 😆😆
Orana saying that she’ll ‘treasure the money you gave her forever’ is a huge red flag that she doesn’t even understand what to do with the said money. She was raised as a slave. It’s akin to raising a house pet for years and then suddenly throwing it out in the forest – a high chance it will just die from hunger because it doesn’t know how to hunt. Hiring her at least provides her with some safety and a stable place to start her new life from.
I hate Fenris so much
I get really worried watching someone else play DA2 blind. I know all the good opportunities to farm friendship or rivalry points in this game. When someone misses them, I worry they won't be able to get enough of them. Or worse, get some friendship here, some rivalry there, and so get stuck in the middle, which doesn't progress anything.
Why do you want to increase the rivalry with Fenris? He will up and leave if you get too high in rivalry with him. He's too valuable in your party to lose.
Your Hawke reminds me vaguely of Charles Lee from Assassins Creed III
I do like that The Arishok is not blood thirsty. He intentionally made the decoy, but knew the dangers of the thief comitting to the theft. He warns you about this to prevent a disaster, not because he cares about the lives at risk, but out of respect for you and acknowledgement that if its used to slaughter people The Qunari could be blamed and in turn make his mission that much more difficult.
When it came to the elf girl I always asked her to work for me since a servant's life is all she has known. It's not that Hawke enslaves her, they actually pay the girl a wage for working for them and give them good living conditions. I think she also gets along well with Hawke's Mabari, Sandal, and Bodahn, but I don't think there are any direct conversations between them. My memory of this game is hit and miss since its the one I've played the least amount of times.
"Fixing your mess is not the demand of The Qun. AND YOU SHOULD ALL BE GRATEFUL!" That line gives me chills. It's kind of a threat, but also him expressing the severity of his situation. I honestly love The Arishok as a character. His VA really delivered and his presence always overshadows everyone. It's like when Tywin Lannister or Negan are on scene and they make everyone around them subservient to their demands.
The Fallen set is lost forever now.
Anders is so righteous about mages and I agree with him about that, but then he has such weird out of nowhere opinion on slavery in Tevinter, it disgusts me. Like here, in the party banter with Fenris he angrily suggests mages should have made their elf slaves tranquil??? after Fenris comments that he knew mages that deserve that fate and he is right because he was their fucking slave.
There is also other instance when Anders is not against selling a person to their master and it ruins his character for me..
You kinda bricked yourself by not destroying the book. The quest requires destroying them all.
Is it just me or is there something wrong with Anders' tactics? He's not healing, at least i didn't see.
The arishok is one of the coolest characters in the whole damn series.
1:32:03 There was also Wynne's Spirit of Mercy that kept stopping her from dying
Hey loving the play through a mapo! Sorry if it’s been said and answered before, but I wanted to ask if you had already played ghost of Tsushima, or if that’s something we can look forward to in the future!
Or if anyone else knows if he’s mentioned it before?
36:28 phrasing
It's been a while since I've played DA2, so you are all probably right. I just wondered why increase the rivalry between them, that's all. Makes things interesting though.
Do make sure to check the Black Emporium again. There's different jokes in every act.
I'd like to point out (and I'm not the only one) that every single member of your party has a chance of turning on you in the Fade in that one quest, and it depends on who you bring. But SOMEONE will betray you in there. So… maybe back the fuck off of Merrill lmao.
Yooo i don't know if you read all comments, but you should check the game "The Last Hero of Nostalgia". At first it looks like a "parody" of the Dark Souls saga, but it's awesome.
1:36 You are correct, the Isabella / Qunari weirdness will be explained.
14:05 I love the To Frame A Templar quest. It is hilarious!!
1:08:28 Mapo, it is just annoyingly a scripted event that requires Merrill to be in your party, which sucks. You will find what you seek inside Sundermount during another quest, which is a personal quest from Merrill.
1:26:41 You'll figure it out, Mapo. When you do it likely won't be much of a surprise, given the clues that have been sprinkled throughout the game.
1:32:19 Remember Wynn from DAO? She had been possessed in a similar form to Anders but because of who she is/was, the spirit helped her rather than controlled her and she did not change it's nature, unlike Anders.
Remember, its a new chapter, and 3 years later, so things change hence the coast 'resetting'. Plus, its a huge mountain/coast.
