In a recent turn of events, Bishop Patrick Wooden, a well-known and controversial figure within the Black Pentecostal community, has lost his bid to join the Church of God in Christ general board. His potential influence on the church’s governance raised concerns among many who opposed his divisive approach. Meanwhile, a female church member has sparked debate by urging those who left the church due to past abuses to return, claiming that only within the church can they find what they need to thrive in life. Is this call a lack of awareness or a profound prophetic insight? Dive into the discussion in today’s episode.

  2. I think Bishop Wooden is antiquated and oppressive in his views. Wooden would be better served by joining white Evangelicals as a taskmaster against his own people. What Wooden calls being biblically sound is bigoted, racist and oppressive which mirrors the White Evangelicals. Sadly women sit in his church an amen a leader that has no interest in women ever excelling in ministry. It is absolutely insane. People like Bishop Wooden are the reason young people are leaving organized religion quicker than the Israelites left Egypt.

  3. The fact that Bishop Wooden is pretending to be happy with the outcome means his checked cleared. How are you going to say you are relieved. If you are relieved, then why did you run in the first place? Wooden is lying.

  4. My grandfather who served on the GB cut from the same cloth as Wooden, but the difference is the people in COGIC loved him. If Wooden was really loved by how YouTube comments make it out to be, then he would've gotten enough votes to be on the GB… But I digress.

  5. 🎉🎉🎉 the sincere group, since you never said what to do if you thought he was sincere.

This is my first time watching and i only came on here because I thought you were going to speak well of Bishop Wooden. I'll exit your safe space because I wouldn't want to cause friction to this slippery slope.

  6. He would still love you Hill please come to the church. Sin is causing the separation. He would have won if everyone was allowed to vote 🗳️ we was not! You had to be a member. I am a member. They cast there own shade

  7. I Prophesied this not two months. Not surprised. The more truth is being spoken the more those that speak it will be castigated. Not surprised at all. In fact it makes me realize more that he indeed is a disciple of Christ and a real man of God. COGIC is not Cogic of GE Patterson. And I'm not even COGIC.

  8. All the elders and above dont know the heart of all the bishops that ran for office. Its wrong to be gay no matter what you saying. Accept but change. Reality is acting like a man if u r a man and women if u r a women. Nothing is wrong or right if its not in bible. If its there its not changing from wat it is. Not a bigot. So we are just democratic religions. Not about politic bro. Sepwrate church and state. He was judged wrongly.

  9. You hit the nail on the head, JESUS ain’t got nothing to do with what they call “holiness.” He never preached in judgment or put anyone down, he preached LOVE. Bishop don’t have a heaven or hell to put nobody in and judgment is not going to bring anyone to salvation. I wish gays and women would wake up and stop contributing to the church financially. Stop funding your oppressors.

  10. I figured Bishop Wooden wasn't going to win the election for general board.. Maybe if he preached on several topics instead of focusing on one thing and ranting he may have won the election. As much as he speaks against gays I would think he wouldn't want to stay in COGIC knowing that the organization is known for gays!!
