Bird Box Barcelona VS Bird Box Netflix. I review, breakdown and explain the similarities and differences in the 2018 and 2023 movies, react to the monsters, the creature, the characters and the fact that there is a sequel. I also determine which one is better out of the both of them and contains the best cast. Sandra Bullock or Mario Casas.

  1. Both movies were mediocre the only part that really interested me in the second movie was when he meets the other “Seer” and he states “They’re aliens” and his whole belief system is challenged and he says “No brother they’re angels” if the movie had kept that quality of writing – it would’ve been great.

  2. I'd rate them as being about the same. The first film was more scary and atmospheric, but the second film plays out in a more believable way. Barcelona is good in places and a little boring in others, but feels more steady in terms of standard than the first film. Its never fantastic and never awful. The first film started very well, stayed good for a while, but from the river scenes onwards, was absolute crap. I also thought the acting in Barcelona was better than in the first. So all in all, two films that felt very different but worked out as being about the same standard. Decent but not great films, with some good ideas.

  3. I'm entertained equally to both. Both represent their own culture, views, and tradition. I hope Bird box Africa, Asia (could specify North which could be South Korea/Japan/China, South which could be India, South East Asia which could be Thailand/Vietnam/Singapore/Philippines), Asia Australia would come next!! And more from the Americas which could be Brazil/Colombia/Mexico and also more from Europe especially Nordic Countries or UK.

  4. There was zero tension in the sequel. The shots of floating leaves n rocks was lame the first time I saw it and they just kept doin it over n over. And then the entity takes the stairs? Cmon man…

  5. For me i loved the first one and how it was built on that emotion of mother to children. The second one was built on grief and how it was overcame from denial. But i just couldn't connect with the character like the first one. The characters were bland to me and i really wanted them to use the dogs more than they did. The guy did a great job but after a while i just felt like i was watching it because i had made it that far in the movie. I hated the ending. No more sequels or spinoffs please.

  6. I prefer the first one because the second one you don't know if it was a virus; or I'llness or the guy suffers from mental health. At least the first one kept you guessing. Plus I don't like the see the bad guy through out the movie as the main character

  7. I prefer the second movie. The first movie was like the cast of the Real World in a horror movie. Basically the each got themselves killed cause of their dumb decisions. John Malkovich was a total jerk but the only one who had a grasp on what was happening 😄
