Bigfoot, Part 2 – Mythillogical

The search for Bigfoot continues, as Charles and Crofty discuss Patterson and Gimlin’s famous Bigfoot film, sketchy salesmen with claims of a captured Sasquatch, and even attempts to identify Sasquatch DNA.

  1. Been looking forward to part two! Im glad you didn't go down the muck raking about Roger Patterson, it's easy to do, but none of it alters what's on the film. An actual Sasquatch, or the greatest hoax ever, it's a win either way for me.

  2. I checked to make sure this wasn't said already, sorry if I missed it: Around 52:30 there's some audio editing issues. Crofty's audio is overlaid with itself, and it's hard to understand what either track is saying. Lasts for about 10-20 seconds.

  3. Just because a Russian indigenous person is wearing fur from head to toe that doesn't mean he would automatic look scary to any female person who sees him walking in western northern regions before the year 1867. While our mothers are often telling us the nursery rhyme called, "Billy Goats Ruff". A story which made me wonder in my never ending childhood too if some of those getting rich quick immigration lawyers are only like a troll under the bridge.

  4. Not to sound unsympathetic but in the south of the US it gets that hot regularly and sometimes our AC goes out it sucks hard but it’s “easyish” to manage. Just drink chilled water not iced not super cold just kinda chilled, and keep the air flowing without having windows or doors open(unless it’s somehow hotter indoors than out). So a tower fan or if you can get it a window AC unit(which is obviously best) white curtains also help a ton

  5. Sammy Davis Jr. and Sandy Duncan both had glass eyes and worked extensively in tv and movies without issues. And if the crazy old man who claims to have been in the suit says that he was never paid for his part in the hoax, why did he wait until 2004 to come forward?

  6. I would add that here in the United States that conservation efforts are mostly funded through hunting license fees and taxes on hunting equipment. Here in the US it is not counterintuitive to be both a big game hunter and a conservationist. I don't know how it works in the UK, but I would definitely research how conservation efforts are paid for in the US. Conservation is not about untouched wilderness, but rather about preserved wilderness, which often requires culling of wild game.

  7. Great stuff guys. Love these long deepdives. Just one critique – it sounds like one host has a mastered and processed vocal chain, while the other is super quiet as if there's been no processing and feels a bit wonky. I'm voiceover engineer by trade so maybe I'm picky but there's room for improvement here.

  8. LOL. Two blokes who've never been in any of the U.S. forest sighting areas and discard all the proof the costume could not have been made at the time of the sighting. Hundreds of footprints and casts. The fact that many of the footprints have dermal ridges and not like humans or apes. Thousands of sightings by law enforcement, park rangers and hunters who know the difference between a bear and upright walking creature. The fact that almost all the Native American tribes have a name for the same creature. DNA and blood and hair samples that are tested and found to have no matches for any existing animal. Until you've actually been to BF locations and actually experienced the evidence first hand you two are nothing more than desk jockeys who only have an opinion with no real facts to back it just disparaging remarks.

  9. Just a note guys love your content but I feel the sources up front are a slog. Bibliographies typically go at the end, I’d love to have you follow that format and just dive into the meat of the episode. Either way thanks for all the effort really enjoy 🙏
