If you want to see Marion come back, keep going in the franchise.. only two left. Yeah Indie is older but I hope I can still move like that at his age. Harrison still did a lot of his stunts.
Indy's hat is a fedora. Henry, Sr.'s hat is just a tweed bucket style hat. The Scottish have 2 hats that are somewhat similar to the French beret. A casual one called a Tam O'Shanter, and a more ceremonial one called a Balmoral Bonnet.
Also, when Indy was on his archeological adventure at the beginning, it may have been during Spring Break.
21:47 It is a dirigible (or airship). Massive monsters that could be as much as 1,000 feet (305 meters) in length, they had an impressive internal aluminum frame. The US had a massive advantage in that there is a massive helium mine in Texas and helium could keep a dirigible afloat (although much more dangerous hydrogen could suffice). Several American dirigibles were destroyed by storms in the 1930's and a dirigible program was ended. The Germans still had a couple of dirigibles but they had to use hydrogen because of economic sanctions. In 1937, the Hindenburg dirigible blew up spectacularly and to this day, a certain reason why hasn't been found.
Much smaller, non rigid blimps were used by the US military, very effectively in anti submarine patrols. After the war, Goodyear corporation has used and still uses blimps for commercial reasons. Other companies also use blimps for various reasons.
IcedQu' – your round window, showing your review, the grey-furry microphone, made it look like you had a Star Trek Tribble, or a big furry grey Cat, on your lap the whole time 😉
Penitent man kneels before God…and the does a roll.
Airships still exist. They used to be filled with hydrogen gas (which is highly flammable) but now use an inert gas (helium).
The company that originated the rigid airships, Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH still exists and is still based in Friedrichshafen, Germany. They build the Zeppelin NT (Neue Technologie) which are helium-filled airships but these pale in size to the most famous zeppelin of all, D-LZ 129 Hindenburg, which in 1937, burst into flames just after arrival to Lakehurst, New Jersey in the U.S. from a flight from Frankfurt, Germany. About a third of the nearly 100 people onboard perished in the accident. A modern Zeppelin NT is only 75 m long compared to the massive, 245 m long Hindenburg.
There are still a number of companies that are invested in the technology of rigid airships such as Hybrid Air Vehicles and Flying Whales. You can even book a sightseeing ride on a Zeppelin NT. Goodyear owns and operates 4 Zeppelin NTs.
The son grows up an archaelogist (who goes outside to study ruins) while the father is a philologist (stays in libraries) who studies languages and old books.
In addition to the movies there is a television series Young Indiana which are his adventures from a young boy to a young man.
This was intended to close out the movies series. But the call of the money was too loud and they made the Crystal Skull_. That has mixed reactions. Recently they made the fifth, _Quest for Another Cash Grab which has few fans.
The Holy Grail is the cup Jesus drinks from at the Last Supper. In the story of the crucifixion Jesus is stabbed with spear and water comes out instead of blood; some stories have this fluid was caught in the same cup. It was added to medieval King Arthur stories. It's been lurking in European hero stories since. Around the 1950s some french added a new twist that the grail was about Mary Magdalene which was picked up for _The Davinci Code_.
I like Hayao Miyazaki movies with his fantasy airships. I find the idea romantic and wish we had them crossing the Pacific and Atlantic. But they're just too expensive compared to ocean ships and aircraft.
It's a rigid air-ship, or Zeppelin. They have framework and rigid spines as you can see. Blimps are inflatable like balloons. Inside the Zeppelin's large chamber are several smaller chambers filled with hydrogen, which is lighter than air, but also highly flammable. The one that famously exploded was the "Hindenburg". By then they had switched to non-flammable helium, but the gas was rare and the main supply controlled by the US and thus, not available in Germany.
Hatay is a province of Turkey. One of it's largest cities is Iskenderun (which is where Sallah and Marcus meet.) Iskenderun was formerly known as Alexandretta. That's why they are there.
You didn't know Sean connery? Mr.James bond himself
Your villian moustache overlay is fun, really enjoy all the little extras you put on the reacts 😀
Raiders is better because it was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. Last Crusade suffers from his father not being in the movie until an hour into it. Once Henry Sr shows up, it's a classic. Before that (with the exception of the intro) it was decent, but nowhere near as good as the second half. If the entire movie had been as good as the second half, it would be a contender for best in the series
I recognized that! It was the Spanish rap that Troy and Abed did in that episode of Community!!
18:48 No, Indiana is the one, who wears the fedora. His father is wearing a trilby. 🙂
20:48 I've always been wondering who came up with the idea of a fingerpost in Austria showing the ways to Berlin and Venice!
That's like a post in France that specifically shows the directions to Edinburgh and Barcelona. 😂
Actually… Indy's hat is the Fedora. Not sure what his Dad's hat is called.
They were called airships and it wasn't really a safety issue. The Hindenburg was originally build to use helium, but the USA issued an embargo because there were concerns it could be used against their allies even before WWII. So the Hindenburg was modified to use hydrogen, which led to the well known accident.
Sean Connery rose to fame playing James Bond, a British spy who routinely uses a German pistol called the Walther PPK. It was introduced into the German army on the mid 1930s and was their standard sidearm throughout WWII. It’s the same pistol Donovan uses to shoot Henry Jones, Sr. James Bond, shot with James Bond’s own gun.
Why did you blur the swastikas?
"His Scottish accent is kinda good and kinda bad at the same time…"
It's bad – just bad. And that's why it's funny 🙂
(I'm Scottish)
She's a bad reviewer.
Fun fact: This is the LAST Indiana Jones movie……
I will admit that I never expected to see the Buddy Christ pop up in an Indiana Jones movie reaction. 🙂
I know it’s my fault, but I kind of hate this movie now! We all saw it I mean, everyone saw it back in the day when it was in the theaters… but after solo a Star Wars story, all I can see is a younger actor, playing Harrison Ford, and everything you know about him is cobbled together in one small adventure! The scar on his chin, his clothes, his whip, his fear of snakes. HOLY SHIT THIS IS STUPID! Know what I mean? He shows up 25 or 30 years later, and says the exact same thing: it belongs in a museum! And wouldn’t you know it? these evil guys still have the same clothes, and that stupid gold cross? They seemed like they grabbed it from the cave with intent to sell it off. Indy blows up the whole ship (killing many who had nothing to do with the evil artifact dealings) and jumps in the ocean! No plan of escape. This madness was just universally excepted because of the first two movies before it.
Speaking of bobby traps – have you seen Who Framed Roger Rabbit? If not I recommend watching it
Please react to the last two movies next one is crystal skull then dial of destiny
Great Reaction…….
At the end of the movie, I have never interpreted Indy's as being Greedy….. I have always thought he was just Focused on saving the Grail, and Focused on helping his Dad Fullfill His "Quest"……..
I really enjoy your reactions 27:56 but at times I just shake my head at some of your comments… I guess it adds to the funny…. A reminder that this takes place almost 90 years ago so many things are a bit different 😉 and one last note… It's a fictional movie not a documentary just enjoy the fun and action for what it is. It is more enjoyable that way 🤭

Interesting Fact for you, Qoukka:
When he'd been asked to portray Indy's father in this movie, Sean Connery initially turned the role down because of the fact that he and Harrison Ford were only 12 years apart in age
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Fun Fact about that line that Sean Connery said in this scene.
The line that Sean Connery says Elsa "Talks In Her Sleep" was ad-libbed by Sean Connery as a kind of throwback to when he'd played James Bond
22:14
"What Is That Giant Coat?"
That's a trench coat or possibly a Peacoat
40:43
A point of interest here:
George Lucas was most likely responsible for Sean Connery's line of "We Named The Dog 'Indiana.' ". The reason why I say this is because in the "Empire Of Dreams." Documentary about the creation of the Star Wars franchise, George mentioned that when he'd created Chewbacca, he'd based Chewbacca on his Alaskan Malmute, whose name was "Indiana"
Love your reaction! Hope to see you post a visit to Petra in your Indy Cosplay.
While Raiders will always be my personal favorite, Last Crusade is close second and WAS the perfect ending to the Indiana Jones original trilogy.
However, since Lucasfilm decided to try and cash in with two more movies, both of much lower quality than the first three, I will say that the next in the franchise, Crystal Skull, is better than The Dial of Destiny. I mean, it has to be, it has an Australian national treasure in it. It’s still a misfire, but it’s not a total head-scratching dud like the last one . . . HOW DO YOU TOTALLY WASTE ANTONIO!!!🤬
Hello Quo!😊 This is my favorite of the films, also.🏆 I am not really a fan of the previous film. The airship that they travel in was part of the same fleet as "The Hindenburg". At this point in history The Hindenburg had already crashed and burned in New Jersey. After the disaster the remaining German airships remained in service for a time. Oh, Indiana Jones' hat is a fedora.😉 Great reactions to the original finale of the Indiana Jones saga, Quo!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 P.S. – The films go down hill after this. It is best to stop here.😉
The rats in the scene under the library were especially bred for this movie, so as not to spread infectious disease during filming.
It's ironic that, when they were tied up, Indy and his dad headed for the fireplace, the only thing in the room that wasn't burning.
Not sure if anyone else had said, but Indiana was Lucas' own dog that used to ride in car next to him and gave him the idea of Chewy. So it is fitting for Ford to play the character called that.
Temple of Doom ? WAY to much screaming !
Best one of the series!
"How does that work? Is it just on fire on the top?"
Fun fact! It's not the liquid burning, it's the vapor mixed with oxygen in the air that burns. Of course the heat causes more of the liquid to vaporize and the rising heat draws in more oxygen so the flame sits very close to the surface of the liquid.
