  1. I've been watching cgr since I was 10 (2011) and when you retired the series I was heart broken. Nonetheless you're back and absolutely smashing it as always. Thanks for making me smile and being a consistent source of humour and positivity. You're an amazing guy mark

  2. I do like the fact that he is a HUGE atari fan and so i am ever since once i discovered that nintendo games did also appear on atari systems,i garantee that if nintendo games never appeared on atari systems at all, then i would,ve never fully understood how atari could,ve been sooo successful,
I was always a big nintendo fan but now i am also a atari fan,
Now am sure that if atari was still dominating the video game market,i think that only diehards would play video games and not happy family kids,or atleast not by much,
Nintendo wanted to be more family friendly in wich then other companies did slowly and berally follow, but atari hardly did,
Now it’s true that the nes is more friendly but the atari 7800 just feels more challanging and kick ass with a new experience everytime you play those old games on it whether it’s pac man, space invaders, donkeykong, astroids etc,,
But supermariobros 1,2,3 don’t have that feel, once you are familiar with those games it’s not special anymore no matter how good they are, those 70’s and early 80’s games just do feel waaay more random to play.
However, while i do like his reviews BUT his joking generic talks eventually grinds on me.

  3. I was a 2600-5200 player and skipped 7800 in the 80s, but picked it up after 2000. Some fun classic games on it (and newer homebrews). But the sound is sometimes horrible – I hate the sound on DK and DKjr and Mario Bros!

  4. Not a big fan of traditional clown, overall. Rodeo clowns are kinda cool though, as they sometimes get trampled on and stabbed by bulls.

Going back in time to save the 7800.. if I am not mistaken, the console was suppose to be released in 1984, but was put on hold and released after the NES in 1986/ 1987. Which was a bit too late to gain any traction against Nintendo and the Sega Master System.

You would have to go back before it was released and show Jack Tramiel the battle plans for the NES and show him why the 7800 should have been released before the launch of the OG Nintendo.
