  1. James G. Morris, the old track coach at South Plains Jr. College and Brownfield High School was the first account for Blue Ribbon Sports & Nike, in the state of Texas…in-fact Phil Knight asked coach Morris to be his sales representative in 1977 or 1978. Coach Morris stuck with coaching. Maybe PK, is planning on stopping in Brownfield, Texas, and paying his respects…coach died about 60 days ago.

  2. RC is completely right. Oregon has to win big for this game to help Oregon. If they win by a touchdown and cover, it will not help them much because Tech lost to Wyoming but if Oregon loses, it could be disastrous because Tech lost to Wyoming. They have to win big and make a statement for it to help them.

  3. I feel like a point being lost in the talk of the impact of the game for Oregon or Texas Tech for that matter as far as a statement game or CFP implications wont really be known unless both teams handle their business the rest of the season. Oregon doesn't need to win in a statement game if Texas Tech is actually who they think they are (Big 12 contenders) a close win by 3 or 4 will look good if Tech wins out and makes the Big 12 championship and a blowout will look even better. 45-24 Oregon is my score prediction I think they are a little too talented this year.
