  1. As always Sven, stellar work. Thank you for the video. I have to say seeing the Houses military's and what they have and where; when everything starts is an icing on a Succession Wars cake I never knew I needed.

  2. Seeing all of those numbers and Units, shows how well and truly destructive the First two Succession Wars were; by the Third, most of them either no longer existed, or were shells of their former selves.

  3. Hello Sven.
A good video. One with a lot of good information upon the numbers available to the Houses in that Era.
The video also more than points out the vast numbers of Mechs available to all Houses, and the conventional forces to back them up.
Considering that a Mech Regiment is around 400 Mechs (including command groups), the fact that House Regiments numbered in the hundreds is scary. I don't know about you, but just the thought of 40,000+ Mechs is daunting, in, and of, itself.
And a final thought… The Star League severely outnumbered ALL the Great Houses military forces, combined! It is not really a surprise in the light of numbers like these, and projecting those of the Star League's military, that Pax Terra was upheld for awhile.

  4. Sven, of all channels and sources YOU were my first introduction to Battletech. I never played the games, never saw other videos before you. Your diligent historical-style delivery spoke to me and shaped my understanding of this franchise. I now own 20 minis and rising, happy to find a game and lore that suits my interests and I have you to thank.

Keep up the good work, keep doing your thing man.

  5. @Sven: Quick question: Is all the black area at the outward edge of the map empty space (no planets or suns), or it is just uncharted space? Back in the old days, that was never really resolved, much less how all the planets on the map match up against the Milky Way galaxy.
