Baling Last Hay Cut of the Year – – or So I thought!

The skies are blue, the sun is warm and the hay is DRY! It’s time to get that last cut of grass hay all baled up!

The New Holland T.5 is hooked to our new Holland 575 high capacity baler and our TYM 574 is hooked up with the grapple accumulator.

It’s GO TIME!

After a long day’s work we are confident we can get it ALL DONE and ACTUALLY come out ahead of what we planned for quality and production.

We go to bed excited to finish our hay baling the next morning . . . but equipment had other plans . . .

Stay-tuned for the next video!

  1. The Sun is now warm, the sky has turned blue, the hay has become dry. It's the time for Bale, for Suzzanne to do. Lots more to do tomorrow. Happy baling.

  2. Thanks for the video Suzanne, I really like that sun dog background, I have some sad news. My Mom had passed away about 830 this evening at Essentia hospital in Fargo ND, this is very emotional time

  3. Hi sweet friend! Nice to see you again. I can't believe how big our kids have grown! It's pure white outside over here, and I don't feel bad about working on my catch-up videos! Big love to you, and I LOVE seeing you hay while it's snowing outside 😀 You made me want a green screen!

  4. Suzanne, Nice to see you catching up. You guys have so much on your plate. I use a JD 328 small square baler and have notice that if I go slower and try to pick up the wind row on the outer edge they come out 100% better looking. OMG Girl, I also hate raking as mention on many of my. Blessing to you and the Family!!!

  5. Great video! I remember the first time ever I saw a praying mantis, it was the summer of 1957 and I was with my Dad in the waiting room of the local Studebaker dealership. It flew in when a customer opened the screen door and landed on my Dad’s straw hat.

  7. I did the horse hay and quickly learned it was to much work. Pick the bails up onto trailer then unload in the Quonset so it stayed dry. Then load the hay back on the trailer to deliver to the buyer and again at the buyers and stack where he wants. Here's my tip. Put in corn
and beans. My back thanked me. Just an idea. Looks like your doing good with the hay.

  8. Great video, I was 12 when I started driving the farm truck which was a 1973 Ford f100 with the Ranger XLT package and a 3 on the tree. It was a new truck.
Pretty big praying mantis, I usually get a visit from one once a year in the fall.
    Take care!

  9. A suggestion from an old Aussie hay contractor. Try and make bigger windrows. Those older new holland balers are able to eat hay but are restricted in forward speed by a slow pick up. I’ve pumped out over 500 per hour from one in huge windrows.
