  1. I will say that Detect Thoughts is better than you'd think simply due to the fact that you can ritual cast it. Fancy way of saying that outside of combat it doesn't require a spell slot, so it's great for opening up speech options with certain folk. It's not 100% necessary by any means though, but it's nice on rizz oriented characters.

He says as he takes one of a fighter's multiattacks and one action from a barbarian using a single spell slot. If he'd aimed at better targets he could have stolen two further actions, too. Action economy, mr. major!

  3. CLOOOOSE THE GAAATE!!… guy casually comes out and stabs a few of them… do those enemys even pose a challenge to that town? are there really no fighters inside? i mean come on, if the heroes wasnt there, and those goblins brough a ballista, is nobody in the town gona go out and wreck their party before their gate fall?

  5. It's ok when trump makes weird choices in his spellist, after all spellcasting is really flexible and is hard to grasp. But man… how can anyone read Trip attack description and don't go "wow i want to have it on my battlemaster"? It's already great as it is in DnD, because you can set up advantage for both your own extra attacks AND your allies… Yet in BG3 it also essentially takes your action to stand up as of right now, so it's essentially way better stunning strike.
