Remember how many times you ran Foursun into a tree?
Shame Doc & Marty didnt realise the car Doc came back in time with probably had loads of fuel in it. They could have taken some out of that and just gone home. Great reaction btw Alyska
In the 1980's you could find Duck Hunt, among other various arcade games, at your local 7-11. This is what Marty is referring to when he says he learned to shoot like that at a 7-11.
I agree with you about the trilogy; 1, then 3, then 2.
Myself, I don't like Tarantino movies. Very unrealistic & violent. Others love them. YMMV.
Frisbie really was a pie tin manufacturer back then. It seems some college kids (big surprise there) were bored and started tossing the pit tins to each other for fun. Later in the 1950s when someone developed the plastic disc, Wham-O decided to call the disc a Frisbee in recognition.
One of my favorite westerns is El Dorado, with John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, and a very young James Caan. If you want to go more recent, there's Silverado, with a very young (and VERY expressive) Kevin Costner. John Cleese of Monty Python fame makes an appearance as a British sheriff in a small western town.
Marty's trick in the duel is from a western called "A Fistful of Dollars," the first of three westerns with Clint Eastwood by Sergio Leone. I think I remember you stating that you usually don't enjoy older movies, but I strongly recommend watching them, starting with "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly," then watching "For a Few Dollars More," and ending with "A Fistful of Dollars"
The band on stage at the town festival is ZZ Top. (the drummer and the 2 guitar players).
And we're finished. BttF trilogy is one of the best movie trilogy of all time, and I hope they'll never touch it. No sequel or reboot ever. It's just perfect this way.
And a movie suggestsion, since you haven't seen a Western before: A Fistful of Dollars
You'd also get why Marty chose the name Clint Eastwood here, and also another reference to that movie.
WATCH RRR. And upload all the reaction in parts. THANK ME LATER
Back in the '80s, several convenience store chains (including 7/11) and restaurants (especially pizza restaurants) had one to three video games. I have clear memories of playing Ms Pac Man and Galaga on "cocktail-style" arcade cabinets (shaped like a square table, with the screen beneath the glass facing up).
You didn't have to see biff until the end
…I have watched this movie dozens of times, but it never even occurred to me that it was a spittoon that got emptied on Buford's chest. I always thought that there was just alcohol in it. This makes a lot more sense, though.
"Seven Eleven" (in fact "7 eleven") is a huge chain of retail convenience stores all over the world. About 80.000 stores in 19 countries according to Wikipedia. 😉
The band was ZZ Top….
Dog from 1955 is Copernicus. Not Einstein. Einstein would be dead by 1985 if he were alive in 1955.
A bit of information for you. When Marty is being hanged he was actually in real life being hanged by accident.
He almost died in that scene for real.
And it's not okay that everyone will think that Clint Eastwood is a coward because there's a very famous actor named Clint Eastwood. Clint Eastwood was in a lot of famous Old Western films in the 60s.
People were pretty dirty in general in the 1800s. No deodorant, no understanding of hygiene/germs/bacteria. Back then, people basically reeked.
Had he actually left Clara in 1885 there would have been way bigger problems
15:07 – 7-Eleven is an American multinational chain of retail convenience stores. Back in the 1980's, most 7-Eleven's had arcade video games and it's where Marty would play "Wild Gunman" which you see him playing in the Cafe 80's in Back to the Future 2.
Great Scott this was Heavy!
There was an animated series that followed with the train and doc and his kids. It was terrible though.
I highly suggest watching a movie called the Last Starfighter. It’s a bit of a campy 80’s movie but is the first movie to ever use computer graphics.
It’s basically the beginning of CGI. The actress in it is from my hometown of Edmonton, Canada 🇨🇦. My favourite movie.
Fun fact: Christopher Lloyd's first on screen kiss
Tarantino did NOT direct this. Robert Zamiskas did. He also directed Forest Gump and Who Framed Roger Rabbit
That is NOT Einstein. That was Doc's dog in 1985.
Marty's outfit was designed in the 50's to create a sense of the old west, but it was geared for a television audience of the times and were completely incorrect to the truth on how things really were made for the western lifestyle
7-11 was popular convenience store in the 70's and 80's and they had video games. That was what Marty was referring to
29:59 I know that guy. He’s a Nihilist. I think he was in a band called Autobahn.
Does anyone know if Univeral parks offer a picture set up where you dress in old west outfitting and stand by the clock like Marty and Doc? If not, I think they have missed a great opportunity. I sure would get one done if I made a trip there.
In the 1980s some 7-11 stores in the US had video game arcade games. That's what he's referencing when he's shooting game. It is also seen in the 80s cafe in BTTF part 2.
1:28 when he said 'augh ba galaugha' I felt that
doc can dance?
Some 7-11's have, or had video games. I think that's what he meant.
7-Eleven is a quickie Mart or corner market gas station put the shooting game is based off an actual arcade game which you seen him play in the '80s diner and Back to Future too called wild gunman
You cut off one of the lessons of the movie where Jennifer asked about her future and it's your future hasn't been written yet nobody has make it what you will
Girls w/ English accent are so cute.
7-11 back in the 80's and early 90's had one or two arcade games to play, usually one of them was a first person shooter game like Wild Gunman like you saw in the 2nd film for example.
19:41 god I love when that beautiful melody of the theme plays following Doc whispering- your right Marty-the moment when Doc commits to the heart of the movies, what’s true to him in being a scientist
