Long time no see, but not really gamers. We’re uploading before a month has passed right in time for the holidays. I hope you all have been doing lovely since the last video, and I’m thrilled to be making videos for so many epic people. I’m working on the next video, but I’m thinking this could be the last upload of 2024. I think we had a great year and I’m excited for you guys to see what I have coming next.There’s a secret dog in it. Let me know what else you guys want to see. Come January everything is ramping up with bigger projects, and more importantly most videos. One of my new years resolutions is to upload weekly on my second channel so I’ll probably start saying that when I start. OH! one more thing. The game footage that isn’t Back 4 Blood is Paratopic. I was going to make a video for it, but I couldn’t exactly nail down what direction I wanted to go so I decided to scrap the footage and have it repurposed here. Hope you don’t mind. I love you all

In my opinion the best horde shooter after left 4 Dead is world war z. World war z came out in 2019 and it gets supported by the Developers after all these years.
Someone eats a burger and then takes a dump on a plate and you go "Plate of shtt: Almost Burger".

Honestly I think the best horde shooter has to be Darktide
I remember the exact reason I stopped playing Back 4 Blood and it was due to the fact they buffed every special at the time while also nerfing some of the more fun builds. The worst part was, the spawn rate still wasn't properly dealt with. They had so much potential, but never actually attempted to make the game fun for the player base aside from the DLCs. I almost went back to it when they made it so players started with all of their cards, but..I just couldn't. Not after how pissed it made my friends group.
One of the biggest detractors for me a just the combination of unoptimization of both the games visuals, bugs, and difficulty balance, mixed with the over-saturation of comtent and mechanics. For something that promotes itself SO MUCH on it being "from the creator of L4D" (which is literally only a micro portion of the dev team), it does so much in opposition to its predecessor, things we would tske for granted like the gore system, sound cues, an actual good director, and simply just being to pick up and go. Instead we have a game thats trying to be like a shooter roguelite where you have walls of text and attachments, forcing you to stick to one gun, arbitrary semi-permanent damage that can't be healed, near unavoidable damage from several of the same specials that spawn on top of, or around you without you hardly noticing, etc etc. Throw all this with a damn 60 dollar price tag, AND DLC that's more than 10 dollars, yeah no, massive pass for me

but the Back for blood without the DLC is basically just Generic Military Zombie Movie.
The cutscene doesn't help, but made it clear that it is a movie.
I really enjoyed my time with B4B and I think the card system added a lot to the gameplay. Otherwise I think it felt worse and was worse designed overall

yeah the writing was fucking bad man, there are jokes and lines in this game where I had to pause the game and genuinely ask myself how the FUCK did the writer even find this remotely funny in anyway. its a lose lose situation too because you'd think the game would be better whenever they start taking the situation seriously but you're so used to seeing them NOT taking anything seriously that when THEY DO TAKE SOMETHING SERIOUSLY IT COMES OFF AS NON GENUINE, AGAIN, ITS A LOSE LOSE.
