After some even MOAR theory crafting, wasting resources, somehow forgetting how to clear this even with older video guides, and some sanity, here is a 2 fleet comp that has proper cats, no equip swapping, and optional sub heals. The previous videos on this particular boss is now obsolete.

Basic Tips:
– +13 as much equips as possible, as any equips over +10 give a slight damage bonus in OpSi
– If you do not have enough equips in general, swap all equips in between fights as equips are not locked to each unit
– Level up all units as much as possible for reduced penalties
– Each adaptive tuning buff should be at least 203/203/156 for favorable modifiers
– Probably not necessary but heal all subs in between fights so they can stay a little longer when surfaced
– Generally use BB fleets 1st then CV fleets afterwards.
– Any subs can be used for more DPS during fights, although the 2 most common sub teams are Wolfpacks and the Fish teams:
– Wolfpacks consist of usually U-81, U-96, and U-37 although U-47, and U-101 are popular alternatives.
– Fish teams consist of Archerfish, Cavalla, and Nautilus although Albacore and/or Leo Da Vinci can be valid alternatives.
– Royal Fortune is highly discouraged since most likely she won’t be able to tank most of the projectiles before her skill forces her to retreat.
Protips:
– For this battle, frontline should be on tanking duty, CA/CB are ideal units, in addition to any damage mitigators such as Eldridge is also acceptable.
– The boss has high luck and evasion. Units and equips with high accuracy are needed to land successful hits, while units and equips with high evade are needed on frontline to reduce chance of getting hit.
– Enemy airpower will detect any hidden CV/L after a while. To mitigate this, either use CV/L that have high alpha damage, preloads, or don’t use them at all (after all, BBs don’t count).
– The boss puts up a durable shield that cannot be bypassed at around the 0:36 mark. Unless some broken equipment and/or fleet comps (such as this video’s Fleet 1) are used to brute force through the shield, this effectively reduces the time to defeat the boss to about 50 seconds give or take per fleet.
