Great show to start! Your closing thoughts addressed some great points. Going to be quite a change of pace from Vox Machina. I bet it will surprise you, even though it is targeted for kids.
Even though it’s a kids show, don’t let the sticker fool you! There’s plenty of dark and even somewhat graphic content in this show, and it certainly doesn’t shy away from incredibly dark topics. Definitely something to look forward to in the future!
Glad to see the new series, hopefully you’ll enjoy it long-term.
I wouldn’t add blood and gore to the edits. It might be funny for an episode or a moment or 2, but I think it would get old pretty quick.
Very happy to see you reacting to this! Quick note, I believe Titmouse may have been involved in the opening animation, but they didn't work on the rest of the show. The style is similar though, and iirc, they used a lot of hand drawn 2d, which I love.
Awesome thumbnail as usual 😊
So happy to see you're reacting to this show!
Each season is a Book corresponding to an element.
It may be a kids' show, but it isn't afraid to tackle topics like colonialism, imperialism, ethnic cleansing, genocide, child soldiers, inter-generational abuse and trauma alongside all the snot jokes and penguin sledding. You're in for a ride!
I wish I could rewatch the series like it was the first time. This show is genuinely life changing 🥹
Just keep watching! I already watched it 7 times!!!!
