Great review but darn I’m scheduled on KLM ORD AMS 787-10 next Week. I still love and am a loyal Platinum for Life card holder :). What is you’re favorite KLM aircraft these days? I sure miss the queen of the sky’s 747’s KLM retired.
I have flown KLM from Caracas to Amsterdam, when they used to fly yo Venezuela and took a 747 on business from Amsterdam to Hong Kong, old Kai Tak, what and experience landing in Hong Kong different story. KLM has always been a sort of no frills airline, they have always lack delivery, they will take you but not expect much.

Oh my Gosh, KLM became so mediocre, just like Greyhound Bus. Broken seats on Dreamliner have become the new norm (manufactured at South Carolina).
The worst food that I have ever had in the air was in Air France Economy flying out of Dakar. I think that the main dish was supposed to be meat, but it was disturbingly chewy. The AF food out of Paris and Toronto was much better. It really can depend on the local catering.
At least KLM didn't give you traditional Dutch food. Stamppot is truly foul, especially the variant with carrots and beans. I refer to it as Dutch Mush.
Sad to this wasn't a great flight. I usually hear good things about KLM. Sad also that the 787-10 under performed. But that was a choice by the airline to install a bad seat and not the plane itself. Also I think catering from SFO might be to blame (partially) for the bad food presentation and taste. Anyways, safe flying on your next trip, mate!

I sprang for Delta’s lounge in Miami. It was quiet but nothing special.
Well “avoid” is a bit extreme, it all looks quite okay… you’re getting a bit negative – I always liked your positivity!

I left my chocolate on the plane. Funnily enough, I left my wallet on one too, but thanks to cabin crew, it was waiting for me on my connecting flight through DBX. Great video.
A year ago we flew KLM from LAX to NCL with the same equipment, but not in business.
Everything was great, especially the cabin crew.
I agree about the “ bus station” feeling for the short haul but it just gets into the bad visuals for when you get to NCL 😩, those cramped hallways downstairs… horrible and depressing.
It appears that a lot of food catering out of the US is terrible, no matter what airline 🤷♂️🤷♂️

It should be noted that there's a big difference between the government of a country and its people.
So far, in all my travels, now to more than 50 countries, and every stereotype I've ever heard about any country has been false. People are very nice in most places.
As for being denied entry to the United States, I'm almost certain that it's nothing to do with airline reviews. My mom has been denied entry to the United States many times, and they just seem to have their own methods of doing these things.
The crew made a mistake with your meal. The fruits were supposed to be served with your breakfast, and the salad with the soup. I've seen this happen on another flight review. This appears to be the vase of an uncaring crew rather than the product itself.

I went on Asiana on economy service. The economy service from San Francisco to Incheon Airport was only two options but the food tasted really good. Maybe the dessert option on Asiana is okay but the meal option is good in economy class.

Hello Paul, Enjoyable (to watch!) video, although the flight experience didn't look great. The meals looked dreadful. I was wondering what kind of watch you wear? I am sorry if you have said it before! I have been watching your video's for a long time. I know you are a bit of a nervous flier (like me) and wonder if doing something active (i.e filming) helps you take your mind off it? Really loved the scenery and the beautiful clouds 🙂 Thank you for another informative video 🙂

Why would priority class passengers not be allowed to use the lounge? Found the video a bit biased but the tellsell for some face lotion made me laugh.

I hope that KLM management take heart to your Business Class experience. The food looked ghastly. They are much better on short to medium haul routes.
I've flown KLM business a few times and it's essentially an expensive flat bed. The food is mediocre. TV screen didn't work on one of the flights. Cleanliness is not good. Crumbs all over the seat. Never been super impressed with the product at the price you pay. It's fine for a cheap day of upgrade, but not the sticker price.

I fly KLM from Houston to Amsterdam at least three times a year and find the service great and the food fine. I prefer the 787 10 over the 9 particularly for couples. Couldn't tell any difference in the seats. As for Air France, I find them inconsistent at best and much prefer AMS over CDG.
I completely agree here. If you can avoid the 777 please do so. The 787 is so much better since you don't have a neighbour and there's way more legroom in the foot well.
Maybe it was a bad day for KLM, such problems are not common at KLM. Other youtube reviews about KLM experience better.
