New World State Of The Game! Server Transfer Disabled & More!



Amazon’s MMORPG New World has shut down server transfers! Currently servers, outpost rush, corrupted portals / breaches are disabled. This was largely due to a gold and item duplication bug with the server transferred characters. I wanted to talk a bit about pvp gameplay, dungeons, resource nodes for gather professions, server size, and additional New World content. I also want to take some time to talk about the current state of the game and the things that I feel Amazon should be prioritizing and looking into for the future!

  1. Game is in a bad state until they up the gold income from faction mission and town board quests. Got to give players income. Give gold from elite chests. Add rare beats that drop trophy items you can sell to vendors and on market for housing decoration

  2. I'm very interested in the possibility of being able to craft a house out in the open world. Valhiem style, but not just with the ability to do it anywhere you want. Specific areas designated for it or something. Possibly even instances plots of land in an "unsettled" new town that players themselves can build up. Idk. Just an idea haha

  3. People will get banned. It's far too late to do a roll back.
    I specifically transferred servers to get away from the orichalcum campers. I was on the Utopia server and it was heavily farmed by 2 Thai mega companies. On my new server this morning and last night I was free to farm to my hearts content without competition. It's just so nice to be able to farm. I'd love to see gear sets added, as I spend all my time gathering and man it gets tedious changing gear all the time.

  4. Glad to see a constructive video rather than the myriad of doom and gloom ones I also see on YouTube. I think the rarity is good – it leads to a healthy economy (which is currently not the case). I would like to see them do many things. Opening up more end game things would be great for the economy as the needs would filter all the way down.

    What may seem like a minor one but to me is pretty important is fixing the chat filters – if I filter out the global chat my other chats lag. I'm kinda tired of global chat.

  5. 1: Join the storages. 10 different ones is mental.
    2: Join the trading posts. 10 different ones is mental.
    3: Show an items most recent sale prices in the trading posts so that we know it's value. Guessing is mental.

    Edit: and allow us to only see what's in our personal inventory while trying to sell on trading post. Going through my entire storage to find the single item I'm carrying is goofy.

  6. Seems like everything you want would appease people with maxed professions, maxed gear, and maxed experience. The vast majority of people are nowhere near that. And those are the people Amazon should cater to. You even took it to the point of asking for the server you're on to increase its max population potential oof

  7. Nodes need to be random and not set in stone where they spawn also. There should be like 5 spots a node can spawn, Increase amount of nodes, and get rid of timegated things. If I wanted to be gated I'd play a fucking mobile game. They should've had a spectator tourney PvP arena where we can watch and place bets. There should've been a center area where no one can control with a hub like Arena and such with no trade post or anything like that. There shouldve been a consistent pvp mode or area but doing things makes you flagged in those territories owned by the other factions where you cant walk inside safely cause you are infamous for PKing to much or something idk. Im ranting

  8. A Game is something you play with friends.
    Amazon has completely failed in this respect.
    You'll notice the shop functions perfectly though.
    Server transfer has been BULLSHIT since day 1.

  9. I think it has to be an increased luck chance for being marked. MAKE FLAGGING WORTH IT! I’d love to start a 5 man to get those rare gems! They are throttled hard right now and rightly so…..Give us the opportunity to maximize those runs. You still don’t have to flag. You can click a thousand of ori nodes or you can click a 1/3 of them? I’m picking the second option! This game is built for crafting. It will bring some of those players out. Plus we might get some bots to clap! I’m in!!!

  10. 1:45 Can we get some territory rollbacks after getting exploited out of them on defense?.. Have yet to hear anything back after a week of my first report on the first territory we lost because of lag exploit that had video evidence, and now after we lost our main market after the same exact thing happened I have yet to hear anything back.. also with video evidence..

  11. They need to massively reduce the amount of loot that drops as it largely invalidates crafted gear. This would mean they would need to redo the way gearscore is improved at endgame through gradual loot drops. Additionally, they need to reduce the amount of tier 1 materials required for later crafting recipes. It is not right that the prices of gold ore, starmetal etc have bottomed out (almost down to 0.01 on my server) compared to the price of iron. The scarcity of gold at endgame has also compounded this issue as it makes people wary of spending money, which drives prices down and down even further. I thankfully earned a decent amount early on but the economy has gone flat now.

  12. I think what would really be best is to make a game in which you can't max level in two weeks. For those of you who never played Everquest, circa 1999, it was the first mmorpg of this type. There'd been others like Meridian 59 (which still has the best PvP somehow), but not on such a large scale. The thing about Everquest was that experience was hard won; it took a year to get to level 50, max at the time, and if you died, a week's worth of experience was lost. Death actually meant something and was to be avoided at all costs, not used to fast travel. So, when you finally reached 50, it was a true badge of honor…as much as can be so in a game. As hard as it was, I miss that aspect of these games, and I've played scores of them. I think part of the lure is the horizon, and if it's too easy to reach, the journey is over prematurely. The Amazon developers have crafted something of beauty, but it's also very derivative of the last 15 years of mmorpgs. It neither breaks new ground nor harkens back to the joy and peril of Everquest. I love it, but I want something more.
