Avion Express Malta (SKY Airline) Airbus A320-232 takeoff at Santiago de Chile Airport (SCL/SCEL)

Operated by SKY Airline for the 2023 – 2024 high season (summer in the southern hemisphere), three white A320s owned by Avion Express Malta flew some routes that SKY Airline serves, specially Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo since their arrival in December 2023.

This is not the first time SKY Airline leases other aircraft for the summer season, but the last time was a while ago, for the 2017 – 2018 season. Since then, SKY Airline has actively equipped themselves with an all NEO fleet, A320 and A321, but which still fell short for the very high demand of the now ending 2023 – 2024 season.
