Episode Description

We learned some big news about #Mirage Las #Vegas this week that will see the end of two popular venues at the hotel when it changes ownership to Hard Rock later this year. The Dolphin Habitat and Secret Garden attractions are now permanently closed following a temporary closure after a dolphin died a couple of months ago. What will replace this
area under Hard Rock ownership?

In other #news you can save 50% off on many popular Vegas Cirque shows for Black Friday including the new Mad Apple, KA, Love and more. We also discuss the Raider’s potential new “Win City” slogan, food carts coming to the Strip, an update on the new downtown Wildfire Casino and we update you on the Resorts World robbery where they found a suspect who allegedly carried out the crime and returned to the scene.

  1. I"m actually glad that the Secret Garden is closing. They have a horrible record when it comes to the dolphins there. I admit that I once did a Trainer for a Day thing before I knew more about dolphins in captivity. That was in 2007 and I worked with almost every dolphin there and at this point in time every one of them has died except for about 2 plus some who were born after I was there. 16 in total have died in their care.

  2. I’m glad they are closing the secret garden/dolphin habitat. It doesn’t belong in LV. I hope they use the land for other purposes than a pool such as additional shops and restaurants since the Mirage only had a couple of shops and restaurants. Maybe a food court similar to Resort World would be good here.

  3. Question about the food carts: Do they have a permit to sell food on the Strip? What would happen if someone gets sick from eating there and the person sues them? Even the hot dog carts in Mexico look more modern like Mark said. The carts look like the ones that are use to carry stuff around the house.

P.S: Happy belated Thanksgiving from Mexico. 🇲🇽❤

  4. Hope the animals are not sold off to another place of captivity so that they continue to be used as entertainment. They deserve to have their freedom. Chances are slim but hope they get rehabilitated at a wildlife conservation sanctuary

  5. It is sad to see the garden go – but, as Siegfried has said "There is no Siegfried without Roy, and there is no Roy without Siegfried." That being said, Siegfried and Roy were groundbreakers when it came to upping the level of entertainment that they brought to the Las Vegas Strip. I hope that there is a place for them in the history of Vegas – they were true magicians, able to enchant the people who came to see them.

  6. They should use the head bust and dolphin statues, and a mini valcano and lazy river pool that pays homage to original property…. And why would they get rid of the love show…..it's music and original Rock…. The Hard Rock casino in NE Ohio was music themed and a great place to go! The memorabilia was fantastic !

  7. I predict the Raiders will do well for a long time, good record no withstanding. They are one of 5-6 franchises that draw regardless, like the Cowboys, Packers, and a few others. Also, many fans of visiting teams who live in the Western US will go.

  8. remember USA they just want your money – they know your gonna pay. in mexico people live love and laugh and the regulations are not as tight and there is no corporate big wig and high cost of insurance, benefits and wages..

  9. You're missing the big picture guys.. These groups all Mexican are Converging on Las Vegas Night life. They show up With supported musical groups with equipment and musicians. 5 or 10 guys with huge coolers full of beer and water right out in front the food carts.

  10. Sad to see the Mirage go! I visited the first year it was opened and went almost every year up to this past June except for one year during Covid. My friends and family loved the pool area and witnessed many changes over the years. Good bye to an iconic venue.

  11. Similar food carts were at EDC. One of the event staff said don't eat that as I was walking over to one. They weren't allowed to be at the event. And at a previous event the guy worked at, he had to deal with multiple food poisoning complaints.
