Australia and France faced off as both teams look to make history and advance to the semifinals of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Check out the top moments and highlights here!
France is a better team but they chose this moment to play their worst game of the WC. Still, that last minute own goal was perfectly valid -guess the home team just could not go home empty handed.
France was supposed to win this game. What a pile of BS. How can you refuse a pk and a clear goal to a team in the same match? That clearly looked like a fixed game by FIFA. Renard did not touch the scorer but she did pull the defender behind the scorer so no direct interference in that action so it was a goal. Then in the first half the Australian defender intercepted a shot with her hand in the goalie area it was a clear penalty kick that was not even reviewed. That is why corruption is always rampant in FIFA competitions.
At 2:26 Aussie OWN GOAL leaves #14 feeling devastated until the referee invents a foul accusation against Renard to throw out the goal because the corner kick should have been a goal kick. Sometimes justice is convoluted and bizarre.
Was this the BEST match of the Women's World Cup so far?
Congratulations Australia! From 🇺🇸
Worst penalty shootout I’ve ever seen in a professional game. I’ve seen better penalties from a u12 boys sunday league😅😅😅
Best goal keeping of the entire tournament

A bunch of sharp people playing
The fact that France didn't go crazy during that goal line clearance is shocking.
Well deserved for Australia
One of the few Football Celebrations where the woman "RAN TOWARDS" her teamates instead of away !!! !!! !!!
France was kind a lucky in this game, all the Australia shots were straight onto their goalie.
Horrible penalty shooting
the save at 1 min is lit af
Too many games being decided by penalty shootouts this time. They should keep playing until there's a winner.
Aus and referees are cheated, hand ball, and other two found should be penalties.
Looks like the Australian GK was jumping over the goal line before the ball was kicked.
