  1. Andy Murphy was the most highly decorated soldier in WWII. That’s how he got into acting in movies. He was very beloved at that time. The story goes that he tried to join the Marines but was rejected because of age, only 16. He the lied about his age and got into the army.

  2. When all is said and done, this was a good movie. I know what you may be thinking; who am I, declining mentally into the cloud of unknowing, though not bitter, yet knowing very little. But I do know one thing, this was a good movie. Sit back, relax, partake in happiness, or not, and rest assured that you will not be disappointed.

  3. My favorite thing with early westerns are the costars, some familiar names and some unknown names with familiar faces, some as sidekicks, bad guys, or some that always played the rotten scoundrel, like the one after Audie. This movie has a dozen familiar faces.

  4. The corporal should have been courted martial for beating his superior of captain ,from which he deserted with 40 rifles to earn money.
It is funny that Indians are killed whenever Audie Murphy shoots.
