Selling out of collectors or special editions doesn't really mean anything. I had to buy my special edition of FF7 Rebirth with small scalpers fee off someone online because they were totally sold out a month prior. The collectors editions were sold out well before that. I figured that would mean the game would sell like crazy but in the end it underperformed per Square themselves.
