  1. I read a book on the background of all of their major albums, and Piper at the gates of dawn is considered one of the most groundbreaking psychedelic albums of the time. It had massive traction in the UK, but when the band went to the US to tour Syd was so out of sorts he was sabotaging each show. As a result the album never gained the traction it deserved in the US

  2. I really discovered Pink Floyd 10-15 years ago when I was in my early-mid 20's with Dark Side of the moon. I was hitting rock bottom, losing almost everything I hold dear in my heart and was so freaking lost. I had to go back to my parent's home, in my hometown (you see where I'm going?) and Time really helped me get my emotions out. All the fear, the sadness, the rage I held for so long and I'm pretty sure it's one of the factors that helped me from completely exploding. Since then, I'm in complete love with Pink Floyd. It's in my top 3 with MUSE and System of a Down.
