Asmongold, i do care, i am hardcore gamer since the first mmo released and i am 100% agree with you, exactly the same feelings. But i do believe, that if we keep talking about it, more and more people will see the things how they really are and finally we will get oure "great game".

Stop bashing the in game store, developers need to make money and the store is a good outlet for people who want to expand their gameplay options. Asmon you are not even going to play this, you are going to be neckbeard deep in TBC classic…so why do you care again ?
The end hit me hard, just yesterday I had a discussion about these microtransactions in tbc with my guild. Almost every single person there was defending blizzard, absolutely not understanding the impact. The best part was when they told me blizz no longer sells enough expansions so they need extra income… They don't even know Shadowlands is the fastest selling expansion of all times. Everyone just kept calling me stupid… I think people have their heads so deep inside their asses they just lost all common sense and logic.
In my opinion they ruined the Game after the first Alpha test, where they changed world pvp to optional. I had so much fun running around pvping while lvling, it was like a proper survival feeling like from early h1z1/Hurtworld etc, going outside felt like risk reward, and owning people who tried to gank you was so much fun. it split the comunity in half, there has been numerous wars on threads on reddit regarding this issue. And the devs didnt listen to anything, they did like blizzard they pick 1 comment and pulled the "We listened to the community". THey didnt even add PvP/PvE server choices.
It's not really fair to criticize boosts if you buy them…
who the fuck cares? I just wanna log on and fight people if people want to do a bunch of quests good for them, but a lot of people aren't interested in that because its boring
why you think people can play games like Starcraft II and League over and over and over with no leveling or gearing required? cus its PvP if you could just log on and pvp without doing all this obligatory MMO bullshit the boost wouldn't even be relevant
So basically don't buy the game until 2022 and you can boost yourself to the same progress level without wasting your time.
Everything Asmongold says here is speculation. Problem is Asmon wields an army full of rational folk but also a whole bunch of adolescent children who don't seem to possess impulse control and are basically just lemmings who harass, review and preview bomb, and so on. At what point will Zack realize that he has to acknowledge his influence. Very vexing feelings on videos like this.

the game is a b2p mmo … and you want to no cash shop whatsover. so you telling me that they should just remove the cash shop and pay no sub while the devs are giving free updates forever basicly making the devs work for free. im sorry but this is dilusional.
I feel like they released this for people to skim and not rip it apart word for word. I have lost trust in this game and don’t know if I will give it back to them.
I don't think game designers understand that putting in micro transactions makes their game SO much less attractive for mmorpg players. They're losing out on so many people, so much hype, so much passion. So much long term joy and investment, for a few quick bucks, that will eventually make the game die out quicker and quicker.
It's a bad decision. It makes the game worse, and that is bad for the company.
I’ll pass on this game, maybe I’ll check it out when it inevitably goes free to play. I’ll keep an eye on Ashes of Creation though.

mmorpg game designers could attract SO many players if they released a game without micro transactions. EVERYONE would play the shit out of it. Make a good game, say you won't do micro transactions but prices of expansions etc might therefore be a bit higher, and so many people will play it till the end of days.
If they want catch-up mechanics, then just make fucking catch-up mechanics. Late to the party? Well, you get some bonus XP here and there. EASY. Level boosts bring clueless people to max level, and there won't be much fun to be had. You'll be an appropriate level for end-game content, but you don't know what you're doing; you'll suck at your build; etc.
If you cannot find a gold mine then you have to create one. p.s. i will wait until it goes free to play

Asmongold, I really do love your content, however, I just wish you would reserve judgement until they ACTUAL screw up. Amazon showing this much of the behind the scenes is already way better than what Blizzard has done in the past. So while it's obvious that Amazon's goal is to make money ultimately, That does not necessarily mean the game itself is bad and still fun and worth playing. While I see your concerns as valid, the game isn't even out yet, you are acting like it's the new black desert. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

The way Asmon attacks microtransactions is the same way I feel about the TF2 Meet Your Match update that ruined matchmaking and weapon balances, companies as a whole do not understand the community and are hesitant to even communicate with their community now a days. Its a damned shame to see where some companies are headed.

They did say every game they release has to be a multi million $$ success. Only way to do that for a dev that's never made a game is microtransactions.
This game was dead years ago, when they changed the whole game concept 3 times.

I just cant get excited for multiplayer games anymore. They r all about the whales and not about good content.
Man, i'm SO happy i been playing world of warcraft since 2004. We the OGs got lucky. We got to experience the game in the best time posible: Before datamining everything, Before sites like WoWHead that analizes the game inch by inch till leaving no mistery in it, before Youtube Videos, before Twitch Streamers, Before Cash Shop.
And even today i rather play Shadowlands or Classic then any other mmo out there. And i've tried most of them! Because i hate people that say "i hate this" but have never even tried them: I own FF14, BlackDesert, SWTOR, played WildStar MMO, Lineage, etc… YOU NAME IT, i've probably played it. And no other mmo has got me like WoW ever.
So call me a fucking fanboy if you want, i don't care. I know the game is no way near perfect anymore, but damn, is the best out there still.
If a game is free to play with no subscription fee etc then selling cosmetic items makes sense.
Asmon malding over this literally holds zero value simply because he bought the boost in TBC Classic despite malding over the level boost there.

Dont devalue the content of your game just to try and low-key force people into paying money for better looking stuff/advantages. If you game is well made people will happily pay a sub. I hate ingame stores with a passion and the fact they are doing this now before the game is even released they can go suck a d. Make it F2P and have a store or Make it subscription based.

The next Black Desert Online except New World will not live long unlike BDO because the game lack what bdo has: Top-notch combat system and outstanding graphics.(bdo in a nutshell)
He talks about other mmos but everybody knows he'll just play it for a week or so then just return to WoW mount farming anyway, there's no longevity to his words besides what goes on it WoW. And even then their devs don't listen to the players.
If Amazon is monetizing at this level at launch, just think when people start dropping the game what it will be like for the whales.
Indeed, if a game primarily makes its money from microtransactions and not base+expansion, then it can be expected via financial incentive that the actual gameplay content will perpetually be second-rate, it is so.
