Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were among others who wrote a leniency letter to a judge for Danny Masterson. The couple co-starred with Masterson on “That 70’s Show.” In her letter, Kunis describes Masterson as having a “caring nature.” Kutcher calls him “kind, courteous and hard-working.” However, the letters did not sway the judge. She sentenced him 30 years to life for raping two women. Masterson’s attorney says he will appeal his conviction.

It’s only natural to struggle to believe your friend is guilty, especially in a word versus word case with no empirical evidence, and when he’s worried about the kid; so writing a letter makes sense and isn’t a big deal. It didn’t change anything anyway.
Maybe Ashton and his wife may not believe he did these things. Just because they worked together as actors does not mean they have no idea what he was capable of doing to women
