Ashley Joanna “Ash” Williams is the anti-hero protagonist of the Evil Dead series, played by Bruce Campbell, and created by director Sam Raimi.

First appearing in the 1981 film The Evil Dead, Ash has become very popular in modern pop culture and one of the few non-monster characters in the “horror” genre to have such notoriety. He is most easily recognized and envisioned in later material based on his final appearance in the second film however, armed with a sawed-off shotgun and a chainsaw strapped to the stump on his right arm where his hand once was.

Leon Scott Kennedy is an American of Italian descent currently employed as a federal agent by the Division of Security Operations (D.S.O.), a counter-terrorism agency with direct Presidential oversight. Kennedy is a known survivor of the 1998 Raccoon City Destruction Incident, then as a police officer. Following his escape, he was offered a job in a US.STRATCOM team devoted to anti-B.O.W. combat, and served it until 2011 in repeated operations around the world.

Corporal “Tank” Dempsey was an American Marine who fought in the United States Marine Corps, and is a playable main character in the Zombies game mode, as well as a major character in the Aether Story. His player indicator color in Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops is white (shared with John F. Kennedy and Sarah Michelle Gellar), but is randomized in his appearances since and including Moon.

An alternate version of Dempsey known as Primis Dempsey is introduced in Origins on Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and reappears in Call of Duty: Black Ops III as a main, playable character in The Giant, Der Eisendrache (which features the original timeline “Tank” Dempsey), Zetsubou No Shima, Gorod Krovi, and Revelations.

The original timeline Dempsey returns as Ultimis Dempsey in Classified on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, while Primis Dempsey is playable in Blood of the Dead. Both versions are playable in Alpha Omega and the Blackout gamemode if unlocked. They also both appear in the cinematics of Tag der Toten.

Primis Dempsey is a playable character in Call of Duty: Mobile, and was added during Season 2 and latter returns in Season 9 Zombies Are Back as part of the Zombies rewards. He was also initially a major character in the comics.

Shaun is an average 29-year-old male living in Crouch End, London. When he was young, Shaun’s father died, and his mother, Barbara, later married Phillip when Shaun was 12 years old. Phillip was hard on Shaun, and this created a rift between the two. Shaun no doubt believed that Phillip’s strict behaviour was born out of a dislike for the boy, but years later (moments before his step-father’s death from a zombie bite) he would learn that Phillip did it out of love.

Richard D. Grimes,[4] better known as Rick, is the protagonist and a survivor of the outbreak in AMC’s The Walking Dead. He is a former sheriff’s deputy who was shot in the line of duty and fell into a coma, only to awaken and find himself in the midst of the apocalypse. He travels to Atlanta, Georgia, in search of his wife, Lori, and his son, Carl, who have traveled to Atlanta with his best friend, Shane Walsh.

After reuniting with his family, along with discovering a group of survivors, Rick gradually becomes the de-facto leader in their search of a safe haven. He eventually enters a relationship with Michonne Hawthorne and they later conceive a child together. He later becomes the leader of the Alexandria Safe-Zone and one of the four co-leaders of the Militia along with Maggie Rhee, Ezekiel Sutton, and Cyndie before its disbanding.

George Andrew Romero (/rəˈmɛəroʊ/; February 4, 1940 – July 16, 2017) was an American-Canadian filmmaker, writer, editor and actor. His Night of the Living Dead series of films about an imagined zombie apocalypse began with the 1968 film of the same name, and is often considered a major contributor to the image of the zombie in modern culture. Other films in the series include Dawn of the Dead (1978) and Day of the Dead (1985).[1] Aside from this series, his works include The Crazies (1973), Martin (1977), Knightriders (1981), Creepshow (1982), Monkey Shines (1988), The Dark Half (1993), and Bruiser (2000). He also created and executive-produced the television series Tales from the Darkside, from 1983 to 1988.

Romero is often described as an influential pioneer of the horror film genre and has been called the “Father of the Zombie Film” and an “icon”.
