Such a shame this game is so short, it is incredibly stunning and intriguing. Fingers crossed they make a 2nd Scorn or a prequel that expand on the world, but saying that people are making some interesting fan-theories.
Apparently Para-Sam is the mutated version of the person you play at the start, as they seemed to be fused to that punch gun thing when you first encounter them. Going by what people have theorised about the game, the atmosphere has become corrosive after this species tried to repopulate their planet since their population has mutated in to a "only male" species, using experimental technology on human-like beings. The only survivors on the planet are mutants that are rapidly mutating, due to the hostile environment and chemicals in the atmosphere. That seems the most logical/accurate fan-theory someone posted, but might not be the actual story.

What in the heck on that ending, so anti-climactic! I was hoping we go through the gateway! Creepy, weird, confusing, and wild! Loved it, definitely a weird one. Damn you Para-Sam!
