Only my opinion but having a countertop over your washer and dryer is so awesome.
Personally I would have the sink under the window not on the island . Keep in mind the sink frig and stove r usually in a triangle .

For the laundry room I would not do upper cabinets or if anything just do floating shelves so it feels more open especially with the windows, and then have actual cabinets on the other side.

Maybe you could get rid of those shelves โblockingโ the window and instead put built in drawers under the washer and dryer. More storage and as you get older, it wonโt be hard to bend over to change laundry as itโll be at eye level ๐คทโโ๏ธโค๏ธ

Bonnie — put door panels on the side of your island versus just "trim pieces" — it will blend in nicely. We did that with our island and make it look like a finished piece of furniture…
Since itโs to hard to hear they can put AirPods and you can also put one in your ear to hear whatโs going on just an idea
