  1. It's easy to blame the Manager. I also watched the Man City game also and the difference was huge. The Man City women played with fire in their bellies. Compare that to the Arsenal game and they just looked so slow in comparison. Very disappointing performance. Jonas is just one spoke in the wheel. The Team have to want to win and more importantly they need to play like they want to win I didn't see either last night or at the weekend against Everton.

  2. The Arsenal situation is interesting…they have such a great squad, but but..when Jonas doesn’t even play Russo (same as Taylor doesn’t play Chloe Kelly at Man City 😡) then you have to wonder what Jonas is thinking??
Chelsea also struggled a bit, letting in that second goal was not good…especially as the English FA, as usual (sucking up to Chelsea 🙄, don’t get me started..🤬) gifted them NINE whole days off whilst every other Champions League Club got at best 3 days in between domestic and Champions League matches..
Yay to my Man City looking World Class!! Hey, but i’m a City fan and am quite prepared for us to now lose our next match 😂🩵. Alexia was frustrated because she had to contend with Jess Park and Yui run RINGS around her!!! Fun fun fun to watch, as a City fan.

  4. As a Chelsea fan I love that Jonas is the Arsenal coach because it’s in our favor lol but I’ve never been a fan, he acts like a man child and has won one trophy with Arsenal? With all that talent? The players don’t play for him and you can see that. Also Barca does this when they don’t play well/lose. When Chelsea played them in CL last year it was so frustrating. They love to say that other teams use tactics like time wasting and everything but then they start with the diving and complaining non stop when they’re losing

  5. You know why chelsea has been successful these past few years, look at player interviews and videos and how they interact with emma. Then watch videos of how players interact with jonas, you'll notice the difference. As if players just want to get on with it when they are around jonas.

  6. Don't take my comment as hate but you really did Barça dirty here. First of all you shared just Man city fans opinions and than tried to distance yourself from that comment. Secondly if you saw the match you can clearly see her elbowing Alexia. Opponents are always waiting for an opportunity to badmouth Barça just because they can't achieve what Barça has achieved. I thought you would at least remain neutral.

  7. I said at da end of last season that the players weren’t happy with the way jonas and the club didn’t offer Viv a new contract and that the players would turn on Jonas and that’s the way it looks at the moment

  8. I don’t think any player on the pitch plays to lose. I do think that their morale has been affected by Jonas. I watched the whole game and MC was awesome!! Alexia at the end was just frustrated. No one wants to lose. I think MC and other teams are just getting better. Jonas has to go for sure. MC played better than Arsenal.

  10. Hello Sarah and Sara. Arsenal fans seem to be saying what I was saying before the end of last season. Also I said I wanted Manchester City in the Champions League at that time, as they were playing so well. I do not support either, I just enjoy watching teams who entertain.

  12. Man City were incredible, what a performance. I wonder if the energy they put into this win will have an effect in their upcoming difficult away game at Liverpool this weekend? If they can come down from this high and still win there, that will really show their professionalism. Yes, Barcelona players are very bad losers, we saw that v Chelsea last season as well, but I think you can forgive them. You have to learn to be a good loser, but they so very rarely lose, they’ve had no practise at it! I’ve noticed there is a different narrative when it comes to Arsenal. They are in a similar position to City, both just behind Chelsea in terms of challenging for the title in recent years. City haven’t won anything in the last couple of seasons but people say “you have a great team, you were unlucky not to win the title last season, this season you could do it”, which is quite encouraging. Arsenal have won a trophy in each of the last two seasons, did the double over City last year and thrashed Chelsea at the Emirates but rather than saying they could go a step further this season and take the title from Chelsea, even at the start of the season, before these recent two poor results, people were saying “no excuses, you HAVE TO win this season”, which seems more like pressure than encouragement. There’s a big difference between saying to a team before they step onto the pitch “wouldn’t it be great if you won today” and “wouldn't it be terrible if you didn’t win today”. That difference doesn’t come when they step onto the pitch and start playing, they put that out of their heads. But when you’re two thirds of the way through the game and it could go either way, there is a difference if one player Is through on goal and thinks “wouldn’t it be great if I score and we win” while another player in the same position thinks “wouldn’t it be terrible if I miss and we don’t win”. The players at the top WSL clubs are very engaged with the fans and the things people say do have an effect, even if the players might say it doesn’t. When Arsenal were 0-1 down to Aston Villa at the Emirates last year, after losing to Liverpool in the previous home game, it was looking like another defeat. Beth Mead had been warming up on the sideline. She’d been out for almost a year with her ACL injury and there was no way you could expect her to be anywhere near her best yet. It looked like there was no chance of getting a result but, grasping at any available hope, the crowd decided Beth Mead could change things and started to chanting “Meado, Meado!!” over and over. I have no idea whether Jonas was going to bring her on anyway, but I noticed after the chanting had gone on for a while, he looked up at the crowd, then looked over at Beth Mead and called her over and told her to get ready to come on. When she did come on, the noise was so incredible that Beth Mead said in a recent interview it’s something she’ll never forget. Being there in the stadium, suddenly you knew that Arsenal were going to win. It didn’t matter that the 90 minutes were up and they were losing, there was absolutely no way Aston Villa could win, they were no longer facing 11 players, they had 36,000 people willing the ball into their net every second that was left. When Katie McCabe smashed in the equaliser in the 92nd minute, she had the power of those 36,000 people in her legs. Within two minutes Russo had scored the winner and the game was over. It wouldn’t have mattered if Mead had spent a few minutes playing the worst football of her life, as soon as she stepped onto the pitch, the crowd was so certain that a win was coming that they forced it to happen. I guess it’s like any losing sports team in Philadelphia suddenly being played the Rocky music and immediately being convinced they can’t be beaten, whatever the odds! Why am I saying this? If you have hundreds or even thousands of people saying “Eidevall is terrible, he has to go, we have no chance with him in charge”, it’s going to have a psychological effect, no matter how professional or focused you are. People may only say it because they care about the team and want the players to be happy but it doesn’t feel like it’s going to encourage better performances. As for the upcoming Arsenal v Chelsea fixture, that’s always a world of its own and doesn’t bear any relation to the rest of the season! Anything could happen in that game. Sorry, didn’t mean to leave such a long comment!

  13. There is something very wrong when you have two star strikers and the best midfielder (Williamson) from European champions plus a World Cup winner looking lost. Jonas is too controlling and doesn’t let players express themselves. He’s the problem.

  14. 💯 agreed Meidema took with her a big chuck of Arsenals Heart..and I think so much so also because of how Jonas handled such a player of Meidemas calibre and speaks volumes to the remaining players..”If I am willing to do this to arguably one of the leagues best players no one is safe”

  15. The vitriol against Jonas is getting more and more bitter as Viv's success only validates everyone's opinion that Jonas made the mistake of letting Viv go.

Viv is scoring, assisting and beating the #1 team in the world.

I like to think that Emma Hayes is out there somewhere watching the game and purring away at how Jonas is imploding right now 😂

Alex Greenwood is so funny. That was the best moment of the match for me. She jumps up to get a header but had her arms down instead of grabbing alexia so as to not draw a foul. However on replay you can see that she bent her arm a little sticking her elbow our and she jumped slightly into alexia elbowing her in the ribs. Then was pretending to ask alexia if she's ok and totally denying and smiling that she didn't do anything. What a total gaslighter 😂 i think Alexia's reaction was justifiable and you can hear the male commentator chuckling in the background

  16. I love seeing him implode. I love to hate watch Arsenal – I love the players, but the whole vibe screams something's wrong in the hen house. Thank god I'm a Chelsea fan. Loved seeing former Chelsea striker Harder getting the hat trick. Yes! Anyway, thanks for the updates love your insights

  17. I repeat Chelsea is winning 4-1 Saturday that's is going to show that the coach is very bad and don't blame any players here apart from wubben moy and zinsberg the restare okay they're just receiving poor tactics only nothing sensible is happening to them tactically

  18. Man. City played to win. Arsenal players just turned up. Don’t blame the manager for everything. Professional players should have pride in their performance. Arsenal have good players but they are playing like they don’t care. Totally unprofessional attitude.

  19. Poor Jonas. I like him as a person, I really do. But as Arsenal manager, I honestly think the job is too big for him. Arsenal are the standard for women's football in England. They are massive. They set the bar. U can see ot from the huge crowds they attract to their games & thus, they shldn't be managed by a clueless manager. To start with, they need to follow Chelsea's template & get a female manager. Lots of candidates are out there; Casey Stoney, Karen Carney (if she's got a coaching badge), Carla Ward, Kelly Smith will all be hits with these gals.

  20. They did a solid game vs bayern but poorly managed the defensive corner kicks. Bayern's subtitutions had a greater impact on the game too, while arsenal's substitutions are questionable. Arsenal is not a better squad then chelsea, barcelona, city, wolfsburg, lyon, bayern, they are a top team among others so a 1-2 lost vs chelsea and a lost vs bayern in an away game are not a shame. If anything it means W football is becoming more and more competitive. The wsl is the best european championship and the c1 pools are stacked.
