Are You ACTUALLY Prepared For Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree?

How to Prepare for Shadow of the Erdtree…
Consider this an impromptu “guide” for how to prepare for Elden Ring’s expansion. I’m drilling you with all the stinging questions: Should you create a brand new character, or just stick with your current level 150 build that I’m sure is just fine? Should you go into New Game plus, or just stay on the first journey?

Instead of throwing what’s basically a glorified build guide at you, I drafted up a quick checklist of every upgrade and key item you could possibly need to prepare your anus.

  1. Well I'd imagine it's gonna scale upwards to wherever Mogh is at the very least if he's the requirement and not melania, maleketh or any of the others after them. But it could be scaled in-between both Radahn and Mogh.

  2. Will there be an option to start the dlc with a predetermined build like the previews the press played? I sold my ps5 and I just can get the game ln pc but don't eant to play it again. I don't have the time for another 140 hrs.

  3. I prepared in the best way. I farmed the stone club for a real unga bunga experience, and then played a dagger build. Life was so easy when I returned to the club

  4. i have 9 saves of level 150 characters on first playthrough ready for the DLC using the Grand Merchant mod. have 999 larva tears lol it took about an hour or 2 to get ready for the dlc using the Grand Merchant.

  5. 473 RL, NG+9, using Tree Sentinel armor set and Black Wolf Mask along with Haligtree Crest Greatshield. Basically Blaidd if he was with Miquella and not Ranni's faction. I use Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear, Miquella Blaidd revenged on Mohg for taking Miquella and uses his weapon lmao.

  6. 130? i ddnt lose too many runes ok but i ended up on lvl 174 for the first playthrough, i did kill EVERYTHING i saw for the first time, like every enemy in the game died at least 1, more if they are on the way of some boss , how many enemy you have to just skip to finish the game at 120? LoL

  7. I feel given a lot of people who did get the chance to do the 3 hours of DLC with not allowed to go beyond certain areas and everyone says it's basically more elden ring i agree that weapons will probably be fairly easy to try out without heavy investments besides maybe more legendary spells and weapons i have to assume we are getting at least 1 new legendary weapon and 1 new legendary spell. I also really like how attack power is seemingly being handled because i do think the worst part of a any fromsoft DLC is leaving the DLC going to base game becomes a cake walk.

I really am curious how pvp is going to be because a lot of the new stuff shown at least seems to be extremely fast and verticle which i could see being kinda a pain to fight against but also adds a lot more versatility which i think is neat not that I'm a big pvp player i hardly do it but the new stuff in the DLC makes me kinda tempted. I feel like the weapons in the DLC will probably get the same love as the bloodborne DLC. I'm honestly really looking forward to it

  8. Isn't the DLC gonig to have completely seperate scaling from the base game? Didn't Miyazaki even confirm this alongside saying the base level to enter the DLC should be around level 150.

  9. If you're being thorough, not dying a lot, and using co-op to farm runic arcs as you progress, you'll be plenty close to 150 by the time you get to mohg, and if you aren't respec happy should have plenty of larval tears and smithing stones to set you up to try new options as soon as you find them, and getting to 200 doesn't take too long when slaughtering albinaurics on ng

I don't really see a reason to have a ng+ save ready other than getting both Millicent talismans

  10. Here’s a novel approach- maybe try playing it…… the same exact way you did your first play through. If your first character is still in Ng, just use that. But maybe try to play through it naturally, instead of trying to worry about covering everything in 1 playthrough

….also, the dlc seems to have a recommended starting level of 150, if the pre made characters given to those who got to try the preview are anything to go by. (Also, do people still actually care about “meta level?” Seem pretty pointless to care about in a game where there are still tens of thousands of people playing at any given time. And most pvp I see people doing is either early game levels…. Or at like rl 200.)

  11. I feel like the "math" involved with the difficulty scaling goes out the window with the fact they've implemented DLC only stat leveling mechanics. The later areas of the DLC are almost certainly gonna be scaled far greater than anything in the base game
