Adamantium, bolognium, dilithium. Element Zero, Kryptonite. Mythril, Netherite, Orichalcum, Unobtanium. We love the idea of fictional elements with miraculous properties that science has yet to discover. But is it really possible that new elements exist beyond the periodic table?

The element of know how
Thought provoking as always, Matt.
Can I assume that because we don't know what any higher magic numbers may be then that means we don't have much or perhaps any idea about where they come from? Are they likely to turn out to be some new kind of constants which we simply have to accept such as 1/137(-ish)?
Funny Pixar release their new animation movie "Elemental" teaser today, hmm the butterfly effect is very present.
I think Bolognaium is a bunch of nonsense. However, if it exists, it is used to make a sammich.
When I saw the Game Grumps play this I was like Ahhhh heck cant wait for the boys to play this. Lo and behold I was not disappointed
Repent to Jesus Christ “bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.”
Luke 6:28 NIV

The Large Hadron Collider can do some cool things.
This got me thinking about something I read before I knew better where some guy who was claiming to have examined alien spacecraft in Area 51 said their ships used Element 115 (then unknown to science) which was stable with the curious property that the Strong Force extended slightly beyond the nucleus of the atom making it accessible for use in such things as (I believe) artificial gravity and warp drive
Obviously silly nonsense now but not knowing how ridiculously unstable elements get past 99, I held out hope that something interesting might happen when it would first be synthesized. Oh well 🙂
Humanity was able to pull back and stop the extermination of the whales. So we live side by side with other sentient creatures in peace. I don't see why it couldn't be like that on a cosmic scale. Reference class: Not food.
Would the high pressure in the core of a star make a difference? It would be interesting if post-120 elements existed in the cores of stars only to decay when they leave the influence of the gravitational pressure
Observation: A lot of the latest video i click through have dark odd lightning, i can hardly see your eyes.
The channels intro video "The Edge of an Infinite Universe" has a much more even lightning.
This was very interesting, thank you.
Fictional elements often utterly fail to address one of the things that makes elements so interesting in the first place – how they react with other elements.
My new type beat https://youtu.be/3nyU64y449Q
Such a good video
all I wanna see is BR BA
Yep the lie to us about everythin dirty bastartds nazis.
Plasma elements. Plasma is abundant in the universe but not on earth
You forgot VIBRANIUM in your opening.😿
…well there’s an Element 115, right Bob?
