18 Road trails in Fruita, CO is a classic mtb destination there’s no disputing that, yet is this trail network really as good as it’s popularity would lead you to believe? Join me today as I ride 18 Road again for the first time in years and make up my mind once and for all about this place – is it GOATed or overrated?

What is the Rocky Mountain bike Shane is riding?
@thecrashingdad dude, you're killing it on that pumping challenge! And adding some steez to your riding! You're definitely getting faster, man! It's fun to see!
18 road is the best place i have ridden. not overrated at all.
If you find 18 road trails too tame and flowy, I suggest riding them on a gravel bike. Anything short of Zippity is doable on drop bars, and the mellower ones are actually more fun, especially PBR
I have to agree with others. Loving the new/old Alex. It’s your genuine stoke that really makes your video’s great. I never realized it was missing but now that it’s back…so, so good. You truly are living by your own motto. Keep it up.🤘
Just gotta get out to 18 road for Fruita-ween in costume!
Sarlacc trail is worth seeing next time. You need to go around behind the ridge then up. You're above the whole 18 road system so the view is great and the trail is fun!
Awesome Video!!!!
Lived in GJ/Fruita for three years and always enjoyed 18 Rd but out of the ~6,000 miles I rode in those three years I’d guess less than 300 were at 18 Rd. 100% a must do trail system if you’ve never been but better options closer to town imo
Het Alexander, whats your camera setup? Trying to start a YT channel myself and want high qual video.
Fun area- great memories of taking the kids out when they were young and running PBR and kessel over and over!!
You are so lucky that you have these types of amazing roads for cycling. I have some beautiful roots for cycling but these are very big roads. I love to ride in a very single road like yours!
Less go I love that you are posting more, I missed ya
Great Vid. You should consider micing your riding partners, like you did with your redemption CO series. Would have been good to hear more of the conversation w the Crashing Dad.
That's my bucket ride dream destination right there!
I miss Sheyn.. 😢
I'm trying to guess what stromboli is before looking it up 😆🙄
Loved 18 Road – my first trail system in the US! Big up to Troy and all the peeps building and maintaining the trails and the community out there.
PBR is one of the best trails everywhere. So cool to see you doing trails in my neighborhood. 😊
I knocked myself out on Kessel Trail. I think I hooked a pedal but lost about 6 hours of time and never really figured out what happened. Great place to ride though.
Wow. That's amazing. My face would hurt after that. Smiling all the way😁 thanks for sharing this with us.
Awesome 🤘👍
I would ride that trail, Looks FUN FUN FUN. No Boulders! Are Motorcycles allowed on that trail
Those trails look so fun!
Holy Shit – Shane – About time !!!! Miss your posts. And obviously great videos as usual !!!!
Mute the volume and play some music on your phone and enjoy
Fun fact… I LOVED doing no-pedal rides down PBR, and one time I brought out a newer rider and bet him I could drop him on PBR if I don’t pedal and he pedals as much as he wants. He ended up being much faster than I expected and I actually PR’d with an under 5min time without pedaling 😅 … then I went back the next day and shaved off more time by pedaling lol but the no-pedal runs will teach you SO MUCH about free speed!!
Nice seeing you two back shredding together @thecrashingdad / @singletracksampler 🔥🍻🍻
It would be awesome with skydio drone. Btw, you look like @heathermunive brother 🤭
Thanks for posting this. Brought back great memories riding this while visiting with RC Gold! Great to see Crashing on a bike. We should all meet up in Sedona MTB Fest !
Good stuff! Zippidy do da! I thought The Crashing Dad went the way of Paul the Punter….,
the end is near to e-begging youtubers…….
I love the 18 Road trails! Joe's Ridge and Mojos are my favorite trails there.
That boy Shane can pump!
Epic…looks so awesome!
