ARCANE SEASON 2 EPISODE 7 REACTION – EKKO IS DOING THE THING! – 2X7 – FIRST TIME WATCHING – REVIEW

Welcome to our first-time watching as we react to Arcane Season 2 Episode 7.

Arcane is an adult animated steampunk action-adventure television series created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee. It was produced by the French animation studio Fortiche under the supervision of Riot Games, and distributed by Netflix. Set in Riot’s League of Legends universe, it primarily focuses on sisters Vi and Jinx. The second and final season is finally here and we cannot wait to catch up with Vi, Jinx, Caitlyn, Jace, Viktor, Heimerdinger, Ekko, Warwick aka Vander and more!

On episode 2×7 of Arcane this is the seventh and first episode of Arcane Season 2 Act 3 we got to catch up with Jayce, Heimerdinger and Ekko as it’s revealed to us they’ve been sent to alternate timelines where things did not go the same way.

Ekko gets a glimpse at this new universe which is filled with life and opportunity. A universe where Vi is dead but Claggor and Mylo are still alive. A universe where Silco and Vander are still friends. Through this experience and tinkering with some of Jayce’s studies with runes Ekko is finally able to build his iconic Z-Drive and rewind time for 4 seconds.

We hope that you enjoy our reactions, commentary and review as we discuss the character dynamics especially between sisters Vi and Jinx, how Fortiche continues to deliver an amazing spectacle with it’s animation and why Arcane and League of Legends are here to make an impact!

  1. First, the Powder and Echo scenes were just perfect. I literally cried when they danced. It's the life they both deserved.

Secondly. Can we just appreciate just how much of a hard ass Jace is? Dude tanked falling off a cliff and shattering his leg. Then proceeded to climb the very same cliff face with a broken f'n leg!! Dude is next level tough as nails.

  2. I actually don't see powder doing that. She might be hurt from the loss but she is pretty well adjusted. Also, she had those the entire time she knew what those shards were an she never brought them out. I believe she will mostly likely never touch them

  3. Hey guys, just so you know, the french song when Ekko and Powder dance is the big and unexpected return of a mega Belgian singer known as Stromae. The lyrics fit so well that scene, it says basically "you are my best enemy"!

  4. This episode is so big brain cause it also explains at the same time that within runeterra there are also different universes and timelines so this show and all the skin lines in the game exist but aren’t cannon to the actual game’s story

  5. An episode I wished for yet completely unexpected! I only wanted everything to stay the way it was the way Ekko saw it. I had way too many chills, way too many tears during this episode. Everytime 'this' Jinx'(Powder) was on screen it gave me indescribable chills!

  6. A cool detail I didn't ser anyone talking about is the fact that powder had more hextech gem fragments, but didn't use them because she realized ekko was not from that timeline and wanted to spend more time with him. At least, this is how I interpreted the scene where she puts the pendant in the drawer.

  7. Glad we spent a whole episode on alternate universe cast dancing around and some literal doodoo from butt instead of actually setting up the finale and then having to cram everything up into 2 episodes.

  8. Y’all thinking her having the hex tech is sinister, but to me it’s beautiful. In that timeline Powder never used it to kill her family, instead it’s a symbol of her sisters passing. It’s a way to remember Vi.

  9. To answer your question about her with the hex gemstones at the end, my theory on that would be that she kept them as a keepsake to remember Vi by. She had them in her hand during the flashback. Since Vi died, the enforcers never had to find someone to blame in the underground, so the sheriff lady never died, and that means Silko never came to Marcus making a deal, etc etc. to the point where Powder never had to make the monkey bomb and therefor never realized they were the things that exploded in Jayces' apartment, like she did when she was left behind and had her temper tantrum. So, she just saw them as gem stones and also the last thing she was doing with Vi so she kept them as a way to remember her. Now why she, of all people, doesn't recognize the shards as being made of the same stuff as the bag of gemstones she has in Vi's little cigar box of memories, I'm still confused about. It also makes you think. What if Powder wasn't the jinx? what if Vi was? The whole world turned out better, because she died. She even says later "I pick wrong every time, and it's gotten everyone I ever loved killed." The show's implying Vi was the problem, which sort of mirrors the other part of the story where Viktor seems like the savior and Jayce seems like the bad guy, when in reality it was reversed.
