4. 4:10 10:21 Think of it as a possibly believable way to make sure any of the "big reveals" wouldn't happen too early in the series from Anya: And it all comes down to her past trauma.
   The first episode of the anime (and first chapter of the manga) I think explain a lot of it. Yes, she loves her "new" parents "Loid" and Yor, likes Franky, and possibly likes a lot of the WISE agents and even some of her teachers at school (esp. headmaster Henderson). But deep down, it looks like she believes all adults (and likely most kids) are like most of the ones in her life before meeting her adopted father. So she believes if she tells any of them about her powers that they'll start hating her and "get rid of her." Ofc we know that NOT TRUE of any of them (heck I don't even believe that would the case with Yor's "siscon" brother Yuri), but the problem is SHE DOESN'T! (She probably believes that about all the kids at her school including Becky.)
   Add to the find that she believes if she tells either of her parents about her secret, the dog's secret, or even the other parent's secret, and believes (and knows) if she tells anyone outside of her family about ANY OF THEIR SECRETS, that ALL OF THEM would be in grave danger and now she's determined not to tell anyone anything ever. She doesn't realize knowing this would likely (more like definitely) make Yor and "Loid" want to protect (and stay with her even more), and even likely motivate even Yuri and Frankly to want to protect her too. Something will most likely need to happen to show her that she's wrong about a lot of the adults currently in her life.

5. If the secret is out the show will lose its essence. But also for children that are abandoned by parents, it tends to affect their development where they have attachment problems (attachment theory). Kids with attachment issues tend to act that way.

   Also from a psychologist point of view these children may eventually develop borderline personality disorder. But that’s going too far for this show. But this is one way to think about why Anya is so afraid of being abandoned
