  1. Typically I really do like the idea of staggering the lineups and having essegian off the bench. My concern however is that we are flirting with disaster starting the first 5 minutes of every game with 4-6 points. Wisconsin is not a team that is built to come back. You can get away with it playing bad teams, but against Purdue I think we will need to have our 5 best players on the floor together and then pray for damage control when the subs come in. Especially since most games have a lot of energy at the start and then die down in the middle of the half which is the perfect time to sneak the subs in

  2. Chase Wolf as backup? I hope not. If he wins the number two spot then we have huge issues from a previous and current staff standpoint. Good show but not a chance he’s second best qb. Locke will win that job going away.

  3. I get the parallels people draw between Gard and Chryst (both reserved, not recruiting high level athletes, etc.), but there are significant differences. Gard is clearly a very good coach, I mean he routinely makes play calls that save the team, including at the end of just last night. Just won the big ten, got Johnny Davis, also have a great recruiting class coming in next year. So in reality, not a good parallel to the football program. Does he need to work the portal better, absolutely, so can be critical, but it's not a dire situation. Teams do have ups and downs, but gotta see what happens over a three year stretch.
