Setombe is such a loyal mother to Phabeni in the way that she picks him up from the nursery in the morning and drops him off at night. He is so lucky to be taken care of so well by the humans and the elephants at HERD.
So brilliant and beautiful that the “ herd” have taken Phabeni as one of their own. He’s come from a cheeky chap to a little boy that knows he is loved and will learn how an elephant should live. Thank you. ❤🇦🇺🐘
Such a cute video. When Khanyisa is munching on something tasty, she can't be easily distracted unless she hears Adine. But the way Phabeni was watching her was a good lesson on how to twist the grass, pull it out with the trunk and eat it. Khanyisa is displaying some wonderful sisterly behaviors, and this is heartwarming. I was happy to see Pisa and Timi come on over and once again Bubi accompanying Seuntjie and Lundi. Perhaps Bubi will become just a bit more relaxed once she gets to be with Phabeni alone. Setombe is being so gracious, yet at the same time protective. It seems like the whole HERD is now relaxed with Phabeni and with his delightful personality, he'll charm the socks off of all he meets~

I totally understand the necessity for Phabeni to be in the orphanage overnight, but it pulled at my heart strings that he didn't want to part with Setombe, they've bonded so strongly 😢 Bittersweet. But the nice thing is that he will rejoin her & the herd tomorrow onwards until he's strong enough to stay with them permanently 🥰🙏❤️🐘
Is he crying? Oh I started to cry when he wanted to be with his new mummy. Big tears fell from his eyes. He really knows where he belongs Phabeni and he also have a trauma of being left once that makes it harder. <3
I have been waiting for this very moment. I feel that Khanysia very much remembers her days in the nursery, and has a special feel for Phabeni in that way. 😌
how has Lundi handled the abduction of phabeni by setombe? what's the herd dynamic like? does rundi sit and sulk? try and kidnap phabeni? how does the dynamic play out?
Phabeni is adorable and big sister Khanyisa is such a sweetheart to him. She has grown so much! I look forward to seeing Phabeni joining the herd full time
It can be seen that Khanyisa now knows how to interact with the smallest elephant. She is like Phabani's good sister and happy playmate. As her attitude is so gentle, caring and lovely.
It's amazing to see the incredible bond that has grown between Setombe and Phabeni. She's not happy to part from her baby and let's us know with those trumpets. Phabeni wants nothing more than to be with his new mama. They are so laser focused on each other and I'm here for this love.❤❤❤
